Poor little downstairs Lhasa--of course it barks- dogs are social beings-they don't like to be left alone- wonder how your neighbor would like to be left for 4 hours in a totally empty room with nothing to do? probably get distructive and bark as well..------------don't blame the poor little dog- have some compassion for it-boil its owner in oil however---------------

@jorill1961: They do not bark all the time? You should hear my downstairs neighbor's Lhasa Apso - it will bark for four hours at a time, or as long as the tenant leaves it home alone! I plan to move out as soon as I can.
