  • impressive holding a 10 tonne helicopter still like that

  • A seaking delivering a fucking football to a match? That is ridiculous! That aircraft is supposed to be for saving lives and helping people who need it. That's why our tax money pays for it, not so it can fanny about at a football game. I feel insulted and angry. I think football gets enough money thrown at it as it is. You should all be embarrassed, I know I am. So fucking selfish. If you want to thank them, so something for them for Christ's sake!

  • @glasgowtommy Oh be quiet, your really think they would turn down emergency calls beccause they have to drop off a football (which by the way doesnt take long at all). I dont like football either but I do support the work these guys n girls do all over the country. Why not see it like I do; rewarding these very skilled profesional Airmen with a chance to show off their skills and get cheered at while doing it. It makes them feel more appreciated. Very good for morale.

  • @cammyammy I don't think for one second that they would turn down an emergency call for that. I admit that I did not look at it that way, and although I disagree with the money being spent on it, I do now see where you are coming from. I can admit when I'm wrong, which I am and I apologise.

  • @cammyammy I do still think though that the football club should be donating 25p per ticket to the RAF to cover at least half of the cost of the display. I too support the men and woman who operate these machines and would back them to the ends of the earth. But I just cant see £4000 and an hour of the chopper's time being justified by this. It's just my opinion, but I think that donation towards the cost of this would be an even bigger thank you.

  • The running cost for just the sea king, during this video, cost the tax payer 128pounds. Assuming an operational time of 1 hour for this activity it cost a total of 3183pounds.

But looking at it another way that's about 50p for each one of the fans there that day or 4 pence per youtube viewer.

  • badass

  • If they did that in the 1980's everyone would be throwing coins at it.

  • that must be the only way they could sneek the ball in the stadium

  • it was returning the ball from chris waddles penalty kick

  • @bunglebear69 Wheeeeyy! :P

  • that was fookin amazin regardless of what ya think of tax use etc. i was closer to one of them than this on top of snowdon winter just, they were rescuin a lady faller (she lived, dunno how but she did) and anyone no matter what the event who should be in close proximity to these guys should be humbled. quit moanin and be glad their brits.

  • these helicopters are awsome

  • Damn good hover

  • i was at that game

  • wow that is some really impressive hovering. Didn't see it move once

  • its an RAF seaking cause its yellow, the navy seakings are grey and red. so no its not the navy lol

  • erm... an AC-130 came to my game and shot the ball down from the sky :)

  • How mad is that? Brilliant!!!! Absolutely love it!!

  • is that the air force of navy rescue?

  • that is boss

  • thts realli impressive and a gud idea every club should do sumthing along the lines of this to lighten the start of game up n make it different for the fans america do it why cant we

  • he hovers it so well, not that i know much about helicopters but i know its hard to hover, it stays dead still pretty much for ages, good effort!

  • Cool.....

  • Oh yeah motoballz? They are safe as can be right. Ok thats Good. So a complex machine with large heavy parts spinning at 1,000's of RPM in the middle of a crowd at eye level dosent make you nervous? I mean helicopters never crash right. Pilots never make mistakes right? A stupid bird or a piece of plastic couldnt fly into the engine right? Pfft. GET OUTTA HERE with your Oh it safe comment.

  • i was there

  • mad...

    I love helicopters

  • Sigrafix: Most RAF Search & Rescue Sea King helicopters are yellow.

  • Whos idea was this? Rambo? What if it had crashed? Somebody is losing a head.

  • You don't know or get the idea of exactly safe and controlled these things really are. No offense.

  • Why is it yellow?

  • epic

  • what was happening

  • Awesome! when i was in poland, warsaw in 2007, i was standing on a balcony when a helicopter flew over ym head and landed on a field very close by. 1min. away!

  • LMFAO, i'd certainly wan to see that in the premier league

  • If I had been there, and that had been an Mi-35, I would have lost my damn mind.

  • Well Sorry its Britain..we Dont Use Russian Crap..We Mkae our own :)

  • cool whirlybirding, but practice keeping the camera still.

  • well said buster

    classicaljaj ur a prat

  • These guys play a HUGE part in saving lives especially in Scotland and more isolated regions and obviously on the coasts and mountains...it's well worth tax payers money and 3 mins of them showing off how ace the RAF is to a load of football fans is hardly like its a waste, its good publicity both for the RAF and what the SAR teams do, it demonstrated skill and it also shows they can interact with the "civies" and arent just flyguys. Fair play to them!

  • As a matter of fact Classical AL AJ it isn't funded by the tax payer, half is provided by the RAF and a bit by the coastguard and anyway, if for example you fall off of a cliff and their is something more urgent will you complain about it being a waste of money?

  • "it isn't funded by the tax payer, half is provided by the RAF and a bit by the coastguard"?

where does the RAF and coastguard get their money?

  • half by the coast guard and half by the RAF? where do the CG and RAF get their money? you fucking moronic retard....

  • Rescue helicopters are provided by the RAF, the Royal Navy and the Coast Guard and each pay for their own. This delivery of the ball would have come from funds allocated for traing flights, so no extra tax payers money would have been spent.

  • yes, im aware. if you read the comment i replied to, you would have seen that some retard said that this wasnt funded at all by the tax payer. while i know that the funds for this would have come from already allocated money, its still funded by tax.

  • CLASSICALJAJ - You, my friend, are an arse hole.

What are you on about 'wasting tax payer's money'! These guys do an amazing job and risk their lives for the ungreatful british public.

I believe that things like this should happen more often, maybe us brits will be as proud of our troops as the Americans are of theirs, and stop tearing them down all the time.

  • Say what you want about me mate, it is true that I am only 17 - I am a student but I also work for my money. But I will be glad to see my taxes being spent on the millitary and things like this that get our troops in the public eye.

I still fail to see how this is a waste of taxpayer's money. It is only for like 2 mins!

If you ever need these guys you might be singing a different song.

  • Well said.

  • Your comments demostrate admirably; the pathetic (low) level of knowledge you have regarding these matters. It is obvious you're quite naive and posses absolutely no concept regarding military aviation or SAR operations. I think you're just a perpetual whinger, with no idea.

  • Get two of those and you have the ultimate blow football match!

  • look how stable the pilot kept the bird the whole time. Amazing. great flying and good video.

  • its going much faster than that you fool! It just looks like its going slow!

  • Shutter speed on the vid cam is making it look like that.

  • its because its goin so fast it looks slow u idiot

  • HAHAHAHAHA. Not quite, its the Frames Per Second (FPS's) of the camera can't keep up with the Revoloutions PerMinuite (RPM) of the Helicopters blades. You should read up on cameras FPS's

  • carlisle r mint

  • teehee

  • holy crap, now that was just to cool.

  • this happens at the southend game too

  • that was just pointless

  • why was it pointless

  • Because its taxpayers money that has to pay for that aircrafts fuel

  • = recruitment for our armed forces.

  • because carlisle are shit

  • look at foxy trying to keep his head on

  • Is this the only way they could get the ball to the ground?

  • whats the point?

  • It's a bit of PR and a nice touch - that's all. The helicopter will have been on a training flight anyway and a few people must have been thought it would be nice to show the public some of their tax money in action. There doesn't have to be a "point" to do something. Why on Earth would we send the Red Arrows all over the globe as ambassadors to the Royal Air Force otherwise? Surely there's not much point in painting jets bright red and doing formation aerobatics with them....

  • The point is that they worked for nearly 2 weeks straight to help those in the city affected by the floods in 2005 - every year they drop the ball off in the final game/importand game of each season, the club welcomes them as a thank you.

cheer up, its not a personal insult, just cause your from another club doesnt mean you have to put down the whole raf.

  • blue n white army

  • all welsh teams r shit thts y non hav ever played inthe prem

  • there is always a tosser to make stupid comments ....grow up brad93nu......great vid

  • shut the fuck nd go back nd wotch leaque 1. cum on Cardiff

  • you're a contradiction!

  • wot the hell

  • this is very good training for the guys

we have the best sar in the world which we will soon loose

    we need to keep them

  • why are we going to loose them? Its being upgraded, yeah. But we are not loosing it!! The Sea Kings are to be replaced by the Merlins in the SAR role like they are in Canada. I am gonna miss the Yellow Sea Kings they come to my local airport from 22 Sqn 'A' Flight based at RMB Chivenor but then again im lookin forward to seeing the Merlins in SAR Yellow aswell

  • whiteringsrich i got the Sea kings helicopter yesterday night at plymouth. i got a vid up of it! these helicopters are such beautys!!

  • lol at the dudes hair

  • it's the RAF not somebody using a helicopter for the first time, some of us happen to have faith in them!

  • so don`t suppose you had seen the tv report about the rescue helecopters, im not having a go im for anything that cheers fans up soz bud! check out utube helecopter accidents! good pilots yeah but unpredictable machines and downdrafts remember the chinoock above the bridge nasty.

  • So when your in a car accident, or somewhere in mountains, dieing, and the hospital is far away, you would like a helicopter to take you to the hospital? Thinking something can go wrong, and not wanting toi go in the helicopter, wanting guy to carry you to the hospital, or a ambulance?

  • miserable basterd

  • @devonjue it's perfectly fine cosidering how much training these RAF pilots have. They fly next to cliff faces and mountains, storms at sea ans sinking ships on a daily basis. This is extremely simple flying for them.

  • @devonjue bit badass if you ask me.

  • @devonjue

These are highly trained pilots. get a little bit of trust!

  • Thats awesome!

  • who won the game? :)

  • swansea 2-1

  • You wouldn't want 6 tonnes of aircraft making dents in your centre circle now would you, if it landed.

  • i dont understand, y did a helicopter drop the amtch ball off

  • An historical moment for the club.

  • Mint, I bet you no where else had their match ball dropped off in this style
