I always wanted this song at my wedding. I was a little upset that it was going to be played on the organs and not with string instruments because I thought it didn't sound as good but thank you for releiving my worry...you make it sound amazing!
Wow that is one of the most beautiful organs i have ever heard, the only thing that comes close is the same song being played in a cathedral at a wedding i was filming a couple years back.. beatiful song beautifully played, if by any chance you perfect this song plz upload another vid, would love to hear it
Hey, where are all the notes??? This is perhaps 20% od the original. There ist a very good transcription by Jerry Lanning which includes nearly everything from the original version.
Our organist at our church is telling my fiance and I that we need to hire a trumpet player to play with him at our wedding because this song wasn't meant to be played on an organ... i'm showing him this video!
Ccirri, tell that organist this song was originally written for a quartet, (strings) and the first keyboard version was on a harpsichord. (tell him if your trying to rip me off at least do it right) he-he-
I have done the S. Drummond Wolff arrangment before. That being said, I am doing a recital and I am using this arrangment, and I forgot how buetiful this is.
Sam, This sounds fabulous just the way you have done it, with your style of playing. You play and work with selections that move you. I am sure whatever it is you put out, everyone will be pleased.
Why don't you play more modern songs like the ones composed by Matt Maher or Tom Booth since you're so young? Those are the new catholic songs that are played out here on the west coast and they sound awesome and pack the seats in the church with the piano drums and guitar. I grew up in the traditional church like that and i do respect it and once again you sound great!
A popular wedding prelude as the wedding party marches down the aisle before the bride comes down while the popular wedding song, "Here Comes the Bride" is being played. Have you played in any weddings yet? You could play this at your own wedding some day, then go down to the alter to meet your bride while someone else plays the wedding song.
Good job! I'm glad to see such a young organist. I was 10 when I started playing the pipe organ in my parish. I remember play Canon in D in the seminary on a 31 rank pipe organ that was oversized for the chapel:)
I'm glad you like this arrangement. I am actually very lucky to have it as it has been out of print for a long time. My organ teacher used the arrangement all the time and was gracious enough to allow me to have it as well.
As a side not, about the mistakes, sorry:) I had not practiced this at all and needed to fill some of the prelude time so I sight read most of it, and I have only been taking organ lessons for barely a year so my sight reading is not top notch.
Very nice. Also, good idea to post the stops.

who is pumping the air or is it compressed air?
nicks1258 3 years ago
Modern organs typically have an electric blower to supply the air.

Just a tad faster, it would be perfect! But still, great job. Sounds much better than my keyboard on the 'Church Organ' setting...

Also, this is actually not the whole arrangement. I only play the first 3 pages in the video and there are a total of 9 pages in all.

Oh okay, that would be a sensible piece for that.

What part of the Mass was this? Was it the Offertory?
