Web Speed Comparison iPhone 3G(AT&T) vs. Blackberry Tour (Verizon) vs. Palm Pre (Sprint)

The AMOLED screen seems just as sharp when I visually compare it to iPhone screens. Steve Jobs was very congratulatory on using the type of screen they do, and how sharp it is (its about 4% sharper than an HTC's AMOLED screen). But importantly, it uses about 30% more power.

If you're looking for new phone atm, go hold the Legend (and some other phones for comparison). From the first second you'll love how it feels in your hand, how simple and customisable the OS is, the lack of lag.. its great.

Oh, the Apple fanboy cheated and used WiFi instead of the cellular network, what a surprise. Its a joke the video is presented as a real speed test, when its just a bullshit exercise that shows absolutely nothing.

For anyone non-fanboys in the market for a smartphone, go into a phone store and ask to look, hold, feel the HTC Legend, do some browsing, check out the OS. I've had one for about 2 months, and it is an awesome phone, far too much info about it than I can convey in a youtube comment.

@disamjisa My legend is a lot better than iPhones up to the 3GS. The iPhone 4 has some good points, but most of the "insanely good" features that Steve Jobs masturbates over are pretty standard in HYC/Samsung Android phones, and the ones that aren't are left out for good reasons.

The Legend is a really good phone, I bought it outright for about $550 Australian dollars, and use 3 Prepaid, I'm on the $29 cap, and get unlimited youtube, gmail, flickr and facebook, so I never exceed my data limit.

This tests the browser's speed more so then the Network's speed. Remember, your browser affects how fast pages appear, not just your connection.

Ummm...Verizon doesnt suck...they got the Storm2, and a great coverage of 3g.... I wish I had 3G coverage everywhere with my AT&T 9700. I phone is just a app/fun phone. The Blackberry can do more and quicker. Its a sleek, business oriented phone that has progressed a lot and has thrown on some things for younger customers which have been great. Not a kids phone that is trying to be serious.

The other guy has a Palm Pre on Verizon and your assistant has a Tour on the "BlackBerry" network? First of all, the Palm Pre is a Sprint exclusive and is running on Sprint, not Verizon. Secondly, there's no such thing as a BlackBerry network. Her Tour is actually running on the Verizon network. I hardly think it's unreasonable to expect you to know these very basic facts before posting a video about the subject.

Opera runs faster than the native browser of the Blackberry Tour. And if you use mobile view of course Opera's pages load in a few seconds. Navigation once loaded is a different story. The iPhone beats the Tour everytime. - Blackberry user
