meh.. honestly this series didnt feel like i was watching a championship series. it felt more like watching the school bully (flash) take the wimpy kid's (movie's) lunch money (title). this last match was mostly build order, but then again wth was movie thinking going straight nexus with everything on the line.

btw klaz that wasnt really any strange scouting pattern from flash, just deduction. he guessed for the scout to come so fast it had to be next to him, since its unusual to scout across

It doesn't look like it is possible for protoss to prevent terran from scouting "straight nexus" up to the point when a terran has to decide whether he plants command center or goes for more units.

It might be the case that Flash was going for a fast expand initially and altered his choice of strategy as soon as he got the scounting information

I remember as i was watching this live on a stream with a running korean translation (roffles, abacus was doing the tedious translations, ty btw!) and this set the korean commentatrs were making so many terrible movie puns:

"the final act of the movie must be a blockbuster"

"can he be the star of his own movie?"

"Flash wants to spoil the end of the movie"

ect.

Flash scouted cross-map because he saw Movie's scout and knew where he was. So, Movie screwed himself with his own scout (as Moletrap and Matt noticed immediately)

I watched Moletrap and Matt's commentary too. It was a clever observation, but is actually incorrect. You can see that Flash's SCV is already going diagonally towards the 11 o'clock before Movie's probe's vision overlaps with Flash's base.

In other words, the SCV was going diagonally before the probe was seen. This is most noticeable at 2:36 2:37

good call, except it's possible that Flash still expected to meet a probe at bottom right if Movie was in bottom left, based on probability of scouting patterns. i wouldn't put it past flash considering his brain is a super-computer

Moletrap was wrong as always. Klaz is right. The SCV was going cross map before Flash saw the probe. Klaz was on the spot when he stated that Flash wanted to scout the proximal positions due to his own FE.
