  • is that with an arm ems? I actually think the hp rating is low. perhaps there's a better tune than what you have right now. Ima make a video of my s2k with the same setup (Greddy Turbo kit with AEM EMS. and I got 336hp at 10psi.

  • @jakerussel Kind of beating a dead horse here with the comment, but no matter. Go on make the video and be sure you test the vehicle in the middle of summer and on a Dyno Dynamics machine as well. Report back

  • @Xeneize05 didn't mean to sound bad brotha. it was just a thought. but i will try the ideas you said. it might be the reason for a low reading.

  • @jakerussel Not at all man, tuning all these years has thought me one thing that no 2 identical engines are alike in the hp dept when mods come into play. Heck you might be able to extract more power than we did in this identical set up, if you do awesome, I applaud you. I do know one thing once this same dude came back with meth in the kit, it was dramatically more power was present on the same PSI level.

  • This S2000 is not even sporting this set up anymore. The comments are irrelevant at the moment.

  • That's weak. I hit 230whp with 0.65 bar in my F23 Accord. Stock was 120whp. Maybe your turbo is restrictive? You should be making around 280-300whp at least with 6.5psi. Also I notice your radiator is covered - where does airflow go? Hot air rises to the top so I think your radiator shroud prevents adequate cooling.

  • Where did you get the carbon fiber gauge tech at?

  • i thot stock s2k gave 240 hp??

  • @nolbe21 It has...thats why I dont understand that with a TC @ 6.7 PSI there are not at least well over 300. My NA B18C6 got more HP without a Turbo than that thing with one....

  • @nolbe21 - at the Flywheel.

  • @vzes9s2k Stock NA power on a dyno dynamics in a summer day is 179whp, tuned on NA u can get some 10-15more whp and that is all.

Go visit my website under gallery with this same car to see the NA chart.

    corrperformance dot kom

  • nice car but those heavy HP wheels gotta Go!

  • its the customer's daily. he likes the wheels.

  • nice s2000 what type of engine do you have?

  • Its a AP1 S2000

  • y so low horsepower?

isnt that how much it makes when its stock

    around 240 hp

  • On this chassis dyno, only 180whp with I/E/H in NA trim.

  • np ap1s touch 200whp and and with ihe some hit 210.

  • uhm, not to the wheels.

  • hey bro... do you want to go fast bro? get muellerized bro

  • yea bro listen to this bro, his broskiness means hes a cool bro and knows what the bro hes talkin about bro.

  • ya broooooo

  • 6.5psi is how many bars? why so low hp?!

  • Sweet S2000! Wut was the psi @?

  • At the time of this video it was only 6.7psi

Now this same car is running more boost on a different manifold than the greddy and making more power.

  • 6psi

  • turbo????? no no no no no

  • Even one of my buddies weak integra with ebay turbo made more hp then that. 285hp

  • how about you get a s2000 04-06 and swap engine for a 2jz haha beastly power

  • Hello, im getting my first car soon and i was thinking about an 2004-5 s2000 with a turbo. Which kit or brand should i get. im willing to spend $15,000 on the turbo but my original plan was not to get an s2000 i was hoping for a supra but low parts or an M3 but smg is hi maintenance. so im new to the Honda world. I will not leave the car stock. I dont really want a low psi ether so if you can help me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you, Brady Tran

  • If you want a CAB friendly system than the Greddy. This one is practical and low psi.

If you care for a nice robust system get the InlinePro one and couple it with a AEM or Haltech ems for tuning purposes.

Send me a email at my website for more advice. Thanks, AC

  • EatmyAk- do you know what your talking about?

  • um no sad i dont really

  • Thanks for posting this video, i have a greddy kit installed and have yet to dyno it.

  • take your time and install it right and when you do get a chance to tune it, keep an eye on the turbo manifold. This same client had it crack on him twice before just going with another company to fab him one.

  • my stock s2k did 200 hp at the wheels

  • Dude that is awesome, i am happy 4 you.

  • its childish to hate

  • He isn't hating i bet he just like a nice clean engine bay without a lot of hoses showing.

  • It all depends on the set up, tuning a Inlinepro built S2000 with a GT3582R and at 9psi it made 335whp. So its all in the motor and the turbo setup.

That is good to hear about your buddy with the Del Sol.

  • $4500 For an extre 45 whp doesn't seem right or fare. I have an 02 with a greddy set up but don't know what i'm pushing at the wheel deff gonna get to a dyno now

  • Currently this guy is only pushing 9psi and is making 271whp. Coming from 193whp NA then that is 78+whp.

  • stock s2k's SHOULD make 200whp....should.... 271 is pretty sad for an s2k tho. my buddy has a gsr del-sol (stock long block) and with a bolt-on kit made 307whp on 9.5 psi (50 trim turbo)(pretty small)

  • 237-240 HP is Rated by the company as Flywheel HP. the actual HP on the car is much lower. due to drive train lost, ETC.... just like how c5 vettes have 350 HP, but they dyno in at 300~ or less

  • oh ya my bad forgot it was 240 at the crank and around 197 at the wheels

  • that seems way low...

  • just wondering whats better carb legal wise this greddy kit or vortech sc?

  • A T518z is far too small for a motor that revs as hard as the S2000's does. T518z is a perfect street/ultra responsive turbo for a low revving motor like an SR20, on which they make around 320rwhp with all the bolt ons.

  • sorry bud, but those numbers r way lower than they should have been. the greddy turbo kits r known for producing low horsepower #s. ur car should be puteing out 300-350hp to the wheels on 10lbs with a better setup ofcourse

  • sorry my friend, we've had three greddy s2k cars on here and at that boost level, they are all making ~ the same power. Perhaps you're thinking about DJ numbers because then these numbers would be what you're glued with as far as power numbers are concerned on this type of vehicle with this type of setup.

  • oh no, i meant to say that the greddy turbo kit itself should b swapped out for a better setup like a turbonetics or garret setup. Im sure u guys got all u could out of that greddy kit. I was saying that the motor could produce higher HP gains from a completely different turbo/turbo kit.

  • sure, i agree on the kit. The owner went with that and he's content with it. We certainly mustered out all we could from the kit. Of course that the motor can handle more than that. Definitely wont argue with you on that point. Tony1 put down 700whp on another s2k here in the state which was also sporting stock everything. Of course, his kit was all custom made with a ginormous Turbo.

  • i'm thinking turbo for my s. something that wont require tearing the engine apart. not too much boost, but enough to make it quicker, but keep its realibility ( more like daily driver) is this greedy set up the way to go?

  • If you want a fun daily driver status and no major alterations to the engine bay, than YES this is the one to get. Not only that its CARB legal as well.

  • freddys2k this my car on the dyno. if you don't want to do any engine work then this the kit for you.don't expect high numbers. But very dependable and a lot of fun. When i drive it i drive it hard and it never breaks. I am very happy at 270 whp and lots of torque. thanks again corr guys

  • thanks K. We really enjoy your car and your hospitality. Anytime you need assistance with it, let us know.

  • altitude, humidity, air temp, and the dyno can make some pretty weird numbers depending on all those factors, xen has a point

  • Yea I think Richard Hammond owned this s2000 in the past.

  • is it just me or at the end of the video does it say it's making just a little over stock rwhp? you'd think with the turbo it would be stronger

  • Over stock RWHP? Man these cars with full bolt- ons and no tune only make 175 to 180rwhp on this dyno.

  • lol bull, your dyno is whack is so. the car should make 200-210 rwhp

  • LOL, wack or not as long as it gives me the same number each and every time I test the same vehicle that is all that matters. ;-)

  • maybe you should do some research about the S2000 and maybe youll be less dumb

  • haha your an idiot, they make 200whp stock

  • That depends on what and where the stock car was tested at.

  • there is a possibility that can be a mustang dyno...

  • very nice indeed

  • Send me a link to that s2k on 10psi making 310whp, I would like to see it.

  • what makes the difference is the turbo. any gt30r at 7psi will make 300whp. I made 450whp at 17psi and 478 at 19psi with a sc61 turbo. the reason you are not making power is because the turbo is small.

btw, i made 355 at 11psi with a vortech supercharger and that was with a 3mm headgasket so i was losing 20-25whp. with stock Comp. ratio, it would have been 370+

  • That is a very sound comment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

  • but you have to think that if the turbo is too big yo will have more lag cuz you also will need more air displacement to move the turbo so maybe a gt30r will be good for that car if you change the internals too cuz with stock internals you will have too much lag or engine blown.

    well thats my opinion. =)

  • it's a greddy kit. they built it to be a daily driver. it's a very small turbo. but i have very little if no lag at all. yes i could have spent 10,000 on a love fab kit. then 2 month later another 5-6 grand on a motor. but why i can drive my car every day like i stole it and never run over 180 degrees and never worry about it breaking. it also has 212ftlbs of torque. when i get in my car it aways starts and runs great with out ever having to work on it. thanks again corr guys 1 happy customer

  • vortec supercharger or a lovefab turbo kit puts the s2k at 350whp... i dont understand your setup...

  • As well as a Full Race and Inlinepro, but neither one of those kits are on this car. At the moment we turned up the psi to 9.7psi and managed to make 271wp.

@ weeks ago another S2k showed up with a similar Greddy kit at 10psi and made 275whp using a EMU. So that is what they are going to make with this kit. Period!

  • Hey forget them lil snotty nose ass kids, 271 hp at the wheels is probably 300+ at the crank. i think its plenty of horse to propel that lightweight s2k to oblivion...plus its probably more reliable as a daily driver/racing strip car then a 350 r 400 horsepower s2k's...longevity is the key, cuzz no one wants to keep on repairing cars from overboost..

  • Your comment is spot on, at the end of the day as long as the client is happy with the outcome I am all good. He even said he was not looking for at the edge tuning either, he wants it to be reliable and that is what we aim at.

  • what! most s2000s I have seen on 7-8 PSI put down around 300-310

  • Good BHP at the tires mate. Considering it has to go throught a prop shalf and rear diff!!!

  • did it just say 240hp?? wtf??

  • i guess you didnt read anything below and just posted away??

  • man i love s2000's and am not hating on your car but for a turbo shouldn't you be seein numbers a little higher than 245? i mean stock hp at the crank is 237...seems like turbo should put you up around 320+

  • the dyno dynamics (the one he was using) reads alot lower than that compared to a mustang dyno or even the dyno packs. But its numbers are accurate. If you take other dynos and compare the number readings to that of the dyno dynamics it will vary from 13-17% higher depending on which dyno. All in all dyno dynamics gives better readings and is more accurate

  • a bunch of s2ki people meeting at 1pm

  • oh yeah. there was someone on the local forums talking about a meet up there. sounds interesting but we might be at the shop working. take some pictures and please post them up!

  • hey guys, what you don't know is that i did not have a boost controller hooked up at the time and all the boost we could get is 6.5 psi. then the crap oil relocation hose fitting. thank you greddy for cheap fitting blew apart at 8000 rpm and sprayed oil all over the dyno and floor. sorry corr. so tuning ended then. sence then the sus manifold cracked like every one else. greddy sent me a cast one.now i am running between 8-8.5 psi and it is a totally different car. now i need to get it re tuned

  • Ahh so a cracked manifold eh Keith, I am glad they sent you a new one that is working with no issues. Well man u know where to find us. Come on back for that retune man!

  • Yessir. lets get it retuned again. wow, Greddy holding it down with some shotty products but great work on the customer support.

  • construction work is slow trying to make some money

  • you guys going to abita on the 30th

  • I did not have any plans on going there. what is going on there for that day?

  • I havent even known, that Americans listen to Scooter :)

  • All I listen to is vocal trance and some techno.

AVB and Tiesto are whats up.

  • wow look amost just like my S, wheels too.

    not for long though >:D

  • seems about right.

greddy's turbo kit puts out like 8psi stock and supposedly 280-300 whp.

video was tuned at 6.5 it says.

  • s2000 174whp stock wtf?

all dynos I´ve seen for an s2000 puts them in 190-205whp stock. that 245whp@6.5psi number seems a little low I would think?

there is even a video here on youtube that shows dyno on a stock s2000 doing 200.8whp.

  • 174whp on Dyno Dynamics equals 196whp on a dyno jet tested on the same ambient conditions. There is a 13% to 15% difference on those 2 dynos. If it was tested on Dyno Pac then the number is going to be even higher. That video that u mention with the stock S200 doing 200.8 is on what kind of a dyno?

  • every one that has commented on this is a dumb ass.... its gonna be ALOT faster then stock .... stock s2000 pus down 200.... this one 245 and plus you can boost 15 pounds on a stock motor! thats around 400 some tihng

  • Not without a headgasket....

  • sounds good but im hearing that its capable of more? what do you mean?

  • I agree with you, there is way room for more. Client wanted us to stop at this boost level. So perhaps later when we turn the boost we cna see a little more.

  • This kit is capable of more. The Tuner is at fault here. The dyno graph looks like crap. So to the tuner thumbs down. Way to give s2000 a bad name.

  • of course its capable of more. that's all the owner wants. were you there to ask the customer what he wanted? I didnt think so. How does the dyno chart look like crap? Do you even know what to look at on this dyno chart to make that assumption? learn me something, please.

  • did you just say "learn me something"?

  • that's right. comical isnt it?

  • Oh god... stock had 240hp on flywheel, why did you do this?

  • where? on what dyno? please show me some info on this to verify your misguided statement.

  • S2000 had less than 240hp? Nice VTrash

  • can you effort one DrkDick? waht's your ride?

  • No i can't. I had an VW Saveiro 1989, 360hp@14.5psi in a stock 1.8 liter 8 valve engine.

  • yea dude that thinks manufacturers put hp to the flywheel is a dumbass thats y rite bside it it says 240 RWHP

  • 240 hp is at the flywheel. that is how car makers measure, and thus market their vehicles. its like saying you make 20 dollars an hour. this is before taxes. in this case, drive train and accessory loss are taxes. at the wheels it doesn't even break 200.

  • okay okay, it barely makes it over 200. still impressive.

  • ok so ur telling me that the battle grounds evo has 1000 hp no. it has 1000 hp to the flywheel and it only runs 10s the manufacturer rate is to the wheels

  • stock is 239 hp

  • To the Flywheel perhaps, but not to the wheels.

  • 175-177? wtf what elevation are you at? stock rwhp should be upwards of 180 AT LEAST

  • On what dyno man? None have tested in stock trim at that rate on my Dyno Dynamics.

  • WTF?! i thot the s2k came with sock 250bhp?

  • From all the S2k I have tested on my Dyno they are all in the 175-177whp from the factory.

  • oh. then how come they say it comes with 250? is that the crank horse?

  • Yes sir manufactures will always state figures at the flywheel on a engine dyno, which in turns suffers hardly any parasitic loss during the test

  • What kind of dyno, and what was his baseline?

245whp seems very low, as I have seen 280whp on a Dyno Dynamics.

  • Yeah it is ALWAYS recommended to have it tuned after the kit is installed. The kit comes with a Emange system, but since this client had a AEM already in the car that Emanage was discarded.

Unfortunately he does not take it to the track so we don't know what he is going to be posting on the 1320.

  • im looking to get the same kit...so does it have to be tuned after the install?? no 1/4 mile times?

  • no 1/4 mile time. the kit is easy to install. the fuel pump is not. if you are looking for big power iwould go with somethimg else. inlinepro, lovefab, etc. i like the kit because it is very driveable do not use the oil lines the are not built right for the application. and the will break at the fittings. junk greddy knows about this. but have not contacted me yet to fix this. i had new ones made.

  • The wheels are hp racing from wheelguyzcom

  • What rims are those?

  • Well this one on the video gathered some pretty nice gain for what it is. He installed a EBC and now we are going to add just a few more psi to it. This client never takes the car to the track so I can not tell you what it runs on the 1/4. Might have to do a 1320 calculation based on the whp and the weight of the car.

  • I agree there are many factors to up the whp figures from region to region and from machine tested to machine.

So there are a lot of factors that come into play when a car is tested. Ambient, and brand of dyno are 2 of the main culprits to create a higher than usual dyno #s At the end of the day its just that numbers. The real number can be found on the track. Period!

  • hey man, i'm getting a greddy turbo kit soon for my s2k. i wonder how fast i can be.

  • not very

  • A stock S2000 only puts down 174whp on a reputable dyno, what dyno are you putting that car on that its making 240whp stock trim? Damn that is some crazy correction factor you are slapping on that dynamometer to get your ego up.

  • Go to S2Ki a stock car on a dyno puts down about 190-205 at the wheels. There is an AP2 that puts down 215 stock (which I admit is freakishly high for a stock car). Any this kit is rated according to option mag to put down 89hp at the wheels.

  • dude, i work for honda the S2000 puts out 174bhp @ the wheel but the engine will produce 240bhp

  • You are correct sir, but in the real world we dont run the cars on the engine dynos do we?

  • yo stock s2000 is 240 lol wat s2000 u got lmao

  • No, this car is not frmo El Salvador. Its from a guy in Louisiana, USA.

He will be back soon to tune it for a little more boost and hit 300whp as soon as the EBC is hooked up.

    Thanks for viewing.

  • This car is from El Salvador.....really nice car, probably the owner just wants to hear the boost, ha ha ....its expensive...245hp not that bad

  • Yeah the owner did not go for peak whp, he wanted a kit that would feel power thru out the whole rev range and a very quick spool up. He accomplished this with this smaller sized snail. As the client now noted to me that the power is much smoother than even when it was in NA trim with the bolt ons.

  • 245 May not Seem like alot to the internet kids, who NO experaince. I am sure there are some limiting factors as well, injectors, turbo, Fuel pump, etc. etc. etc.

Oh, btw, AEM EMS, they've Done studies you konw...60% of the time, it works every time

    :P

  • Not a chance, unless you are testing that car on a dynapak or on a engine dyno.

We have tested several of these cars in stock trim and only mustered 175-177whp on our Dyno Dynamics.

  • wtf 245 dont it come stock with like 200

  • No one is bragging, I just posted what it did given the kit I had to tune with. If you want to donate a bigger snail then that is a different story. We all know there are bigger more powerful set ups on this vehicle.

  • You might not want to brag about getting 245 whp out of a turbo s2k.

  • stfu. this is a stock formed motor with a turbo kit added on. if it was a rebuilt motor with a custom built turbo kit i smack the shit out of you.
