Fun! I'm an adult skater as well, and thinking of doing my first ever competition this coming fall/spring. What level are you currently skating at? I'll be starting ISI Gamma/Delta in the fall, and have hopes to make it to Freestyle 1 by this winter.
@horselover11051105 SO glad you liked it! Thanks for that. I think the key to creating an artistic program is to keep the concept simple. It's impossible to project 10 different emotions or ideas in the one program. So pick some music you are itching to skate to, really listen to it, then project (what it means to you) to your audience. I can't wait to see the results! :)
Being an "older " skater, I have a mental database of great music that hasn't been played to death (or played for many years), and the hard thing is to choose a favourite, there are so many! :)
Awesome program!!! Wow... so creative and love the spins :) I read in your profile that you've been dealing with overuse injuries and I'm happy that you're on the upswing now :) I too am dealing with a jumpers knee/overuse injury ...I've been off for almost five months and starting to feel like i
I'm never going to make it back on the ice :( But after reading about how you managed to get through it....I feel a little more hope!!! Thanks so much for posting!
Thanks so much for the positive words, sk8g4fun! That's really made my day. :)
I'm sure at some time we will all have to deal with some sort of injury, but don't give up hope...you WILL recover. Take it easy, keep occupied with other activities (helps keep your mind off worrying about the injury), and when you get back on the ice you will be stronger and better than ever!
ps. I will probably never get jumper's knee...I hate jumps and mine are too small to ever get injured from...lol!
Wonderful job with the choreography and costume! Good flow too! Also, this time we get a bonus of getting to see more of a closeup of your beautiful face! I have always thought that you look a little like a young Elizabeth Taylor. You are talented and beautiful! Best Wishes!
That's one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me. Thanks so much! You have a kind and generous heart that must be heavy... it's made of gold!

That was a fun number! You can definitely see the work you've put into the sit spin. Great job! *^_^*
PS: Bonus points for using a Queen song that's not in their Top 10 overused ;)

Please show the jumps!

Hi Petrilah,
The jumps ARE there at the end (salchow and toe loop), but are just super tiny...lol!
I'm a hopeless jumper, but am working hard to improve them.

Thanks so much, 70s80s!
Yes, Freddie was one in a million. I've been a Queen fan for years and was lucky enough to see them live about 23 years ago....unforgettable!
