  • the best little drummer boy song foget the others

  • parapapampam :D

  • Thank you so much for posting this! I have the song on their LP record, but no longer anything to play it on, so haven't heard this version in years. I just thought to see if it was posted here. What luck! It is, without a doubt, the very best rendition of this most beautiful song. Brings tears to my eyes, imagining that little boy playing with all his heart. Thank you so much for this.

  • How wonderfully BEAUTIFUL! Bring tears to my eyes when I hear this!

  • IT BRINGS A TEAR TO MY EYE AS I LISTEN AND REFLECT ON THE YEARS GONE BY AND FRIENDS AND FAMILY THAT WE'LL NEVER SEE AGAIN.

  • A great song for a great occasion. Keep watching!

  • I got to sing this song at Assembly 1965 with my 4th grade class chicago class room miss Caliduce Thank you for being my teacher!

  • THE best version of this song!! Hands down!!

  • Remerbering my little cousin Stew singing this @Christmas time.Rest In Peace cousins Stew&Mike.-DONNIE

  • This is my favorite version of this song! Beautiful!

  • The four people who disliked this just burst into flames, and all of their family-members just came down with ultra-herpes.

So it is written so it shall happen.

  • Just Beautiful!!

  • THE version.

  • MY FAVORITE VERSION THANK YOU . MERRY CHRISTmas

  • Lovely quality! A pure, undiluted choral masterpiece.

  • My Dad's favorite Christmas song. We lost Dad in 1998, and it sure makes me think of him when I hear this song. Thanks for posting. Merry Christmas, all!

  • this is a beautiful song

  • all time best version of little drummer boy with out a dought

  • This is my favorite version of this song too, although Jars of Clay's is pretty good.

  • I'm a girl, but I always imagine i'm the male bass percussion part. I think it was because that's what my dad sung to me when i was little. Such a great song. one of the classics.

  • 1 of my favorite Xmas song.

  • This non-believer feels such hearing this universal hymn to hope and peace. The song was written in 1958 and I have a feeling it will be sung though the ages for joy and for hope. Beauty!

  • i always picture myself playing the chimes when i hear this song :D

  • This is my FAVORITE Christmas song of all time. It is so moving and beautiful, it makes me cry everytime I hear it.

  • I love this song!♥

  • nossa que horrivel... parece musica de velório!!!! misericordia senhor!!!!

  • ahhh nothing like the men going rum rum rum! so pretty!

  • This Christmas song (mainly this version) is undeniably wonderful. I do believe it was made in 1991.

  • @tedirelan I have this version on record that was old in the early 80's

  • the men take over the song at the end

  • This has to be the original, and it touches the soul.

  • @takemeback2 It is

  • David Bowe and Bing Crosby had a very memorable version on Bing's Last Christmas special, I also like Bob Seagers version too

  • Of the 3 men bringing gold etc., it was the God given gift of the drummer boy that brought the smile on the face of Jesus. Never has this meaning been more important then today, in the world of the newest gadgets and materialism, the meaning of this song is even more powerful and if we can learn from it, that new iphone just wont mean all that. Merry Christmas To All.

  • The only version of this song that is absolutely perfect.

  • @nuboy529

There are lots of good versions, but this is my favorite, too. I'm not ready for Christmas to be over yet! Had to take the tree down since it was getting crunchy (even though we watered it faithfully), but the wreath is still on my front door, and I'm still playing Christmas carols.

  • La mejor de todas, no hay otra version que se le acerque siquiera a esta! :D

  • FInally found this version! The most beautiful one. No doubt!

  • My ALL time favorite Christmas song...doesn't get much more powerful than this!

  • Not crazy about the video but this is the best version of the song.

  • Oh and the video is amazing and awesome!! Love that too!! :D

  • Love this song! It's the best version! This is the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ the Lord! :)

  • When you peel away all "wrapping paper" of Christmas, this song delivers the true meaning of the holiday. To give a gift from the heart is to give a piece of yourself, the greatest gift of all. The little drummer boy had only that to offer, and that was perfect.

  • @Tigermoon1950 Love your comment. I agree with you! :)

  • this is the best version and a gorgeous one!

  • This song defines the true meaning of Christmas. The birth of Jesus Christ

  • @BRONZE842 no

  • I'm reminded of my grandmother every time I hear this. She used to play this every year when she had the family over.

  • Now it's Christmas time! The most beautiful version of this song ever recorded, no other can compare!

  • @Vikefan7549

    I agree 100%

  • @Vikefan7549

    I agree

  • @Vikefan7549 I can do nothing but agree with you. It's just perfection from the sopranos to the killing bass.... just beautifully done! no other like it now or ever will be.

  • I absolutely LOVE this Christmas song! It makes me imagine that I was the Drummer Boy, playing his drum for Jesus. I like that thought.

  • this is my favorite version of this classic song... means Christmas to me.

  • It was December 1976 and I was 6 yrs old. We were heading home on the freeway in my dad's Ford Crown Victoria station wagon and I was laying down in the back seat (no seat belt laws back then). This very song came on the radio and I instantly sat up. I sat there frozen, completely mesmerized by this song. I swear I had never heard anything so beautiful. It still takes me back to when everything was peaceful, happy, and all was well with the world. Thanks. Merry Christmas to all.

  • @shwmehvn That's a wonderful memory. Merry Christmas to you as well.

  • Thanks for posting...this probably goes back to 1960 or so...

  • This is the best version of the Little Drummer Boy. It is my dad's favorite and mine as well. It always brings back memories of my dad singing the base "bum, bum, bum..." line. Always makes me smile!

  • @28mandree i've sung this and the men sing fum fum fum or, at least the version i sung

  • I remember this when I was about 8 years old,That was back in 1959 or 1960, It's been a long time, But I still Love this song. Memories of Christmas Past, of How everything seemed so Magical,So good.Everything was so different then. Thank You for this.

  • A much favored song of mine since the winter of 1996. I was going on 9 that year

the female voices reminded me of my grandparents and my parents singing to me as a child. This is one of the TRUE Christmas songs - since the holiday celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ...which also puts me to sleep. This version is the ONLY one I'll listen to; It's soothing.

  • Love it
