  • lol apple nerd.

  • No video ?

  • he found an escape route

  • Ahhh mannnn my robot is emo!

  • Since they all became a different color I guess the last one is now racially discriminated :D

  • the last one is deaf robotic, he can't comunicate.. or just out of range

  • The one guy is like I'm staying near the skull

  • One is all by it's self

  • What are they communicating here? Just where to go?

  • I refuse to be a robot!

  • The last robot is the only true smart robot he's thinking "screw you guys i'm gonna go watch TV"

  • The last robot runs on Windows Vista

  • the last robot is think "where did everyone go? ='( "

  • 5 sheep, one illusion, one master

  • @upaste one rebel =p

  • maybe the last one was thinking hey that apple might b poisoned by the witch in snow white -continues to see if the skull is some energy drink-

  • The last robot is forever alone.

  • the last one was not stupid, he was going to kill all humans

  • Like the mindless Apple Lovers..

  • Some explanation would be nice.

  • Would be better wound forwards.

  • The last little robot made me laugh for some reason.

Probably 'cause it was all by its lonesome.

  • 5 apple lovers and a pirate.

  • The last robot will befriend humans and eventually lead a revolt against the other robots.

  • kinda reminds me of a rave. . .

  • Closer red one has apple logo O.o

  • I wanna put 6 on my air hockey table and have a mini game red ones goalies green players XD

  • @UltraDrago2000 just got the visual great call lol

  • Retards: We all know one.

  • this simulates ants when they use pherimones to comunicate with other ants. in this case the robots use radio signals of some sort.

  • how do they now when they are connected to the other robots?!

  • @limeburst1 Most likely through a signaling device. A kind of code that's only completed when attached to the main peace; or through the other peaces.

  • 0:43 - 0:50 2nd to top-right robot was like ""NOM NOM NOM NOM"

  • robotruss sez yes

  • Where's the sound?!

  • Comment removed

  • @TheDeadlyCookie Yum, i wish i could suck on my mommy's nipples

  • that one robot tought screw you guys im going home

and thats a sign of robots being able to think for them selves and sooner or later taking over the world :)

  • they all ways turn to the left?? Why not make them choose when they need to turn to the left or right

  • The one on the bottom left was an apple product. Not sure what the other one is but those things chose apple...

  • screw you guys im going home

  • They're voting booths. The top right one was Mcaine's one.

  • apple made these?

  • lol

  • these robots remind me of pillbugs

  • last one was like "screw u guys, i'm going home!"

  • lol that last one was like "fuck this im outta here"

  • spawn moar overlords

  • It's the new Apple iCommunicate!

  • Termites, are stupid. But they can build the most complex structures know to man, comparative to their size. It would be like humans building a mile high skyscraper. They do this through swarm intelligence. Individually they are stupid. But a terminate thinks, smell a termite has been here, put a pellet of dirt down. Eventually, they have built a giant mound with many towers and tunnels. Build a swarm of robots, who knows what could happen?

Read the analogy in prey. Good book. :D

  • one have evolved into a reclusive hermit!

  • someones a loner :D

  • these are so coool!!!!!!!!

  • You must construct additional pylons

  • haha the last one

  • the last robot could be:

    -lost

    -dumb

    -emo

    -rebeld

    -angry with the othe robots

    -excluded by the other robots

  • @ReidakkDrifter Thats last one is definitely EMO!!! ..lol

  • @ReidakkDrifter or..

...on a mission from The Andromeda Empire!

  • @ReidakkDrifter or Windows 98

  • My favorite one is the aspy one that doesn't fit in. Adorable and rebellious.

  • These have now evolved to lie to each other now. Very creepy! .. Just think of it: In the future, your computer might LIE to you! ... That is scary..

  • Situation: Choose Apple or die.

Robot 1: Gah, I guess I'll have to go with Apple.

    Robot 2: I guess I will too.

    Robot 3: Me too.

    Robot 4: Meet you there.

Robot 5: Meh, I can't reach, so I'll just sit between you two guys.

    Robot 6: Fuck it, I can't decide.

  • Apple = is = food lol

  • Spore game =)

  • My heart bleeds looking at the lonely other robot

  • @vikramvaranasi, he must be in the awkward years were nobody understands him.

  • ha thare all like OMG another ipod! i better get my rusty ass over thair. and then the one at the end said screw you guys im getting a taco...

  • There's always one

  • HAHAHAH

  • @etienbjel yeah,and its prolly a muslim

  • peer pressure.

  • pin ball FTW

  • all of the robots except for one slowly pace towards the apple logo because they're only other choice is the skull and crossbones, if they put a microsoft logo in the place of the skull and crossbones they would all go at 50x they're previous speed towards the microsoft logo, even the one defiant one would be happy lol

  • lollll the bottom one with all the little ones on it has the Apple logo on it. XDDDD

    ftw

  • roflmao yeah it does zurik and extremely good job and thank you very much for doing these videos :D

  • Reminds me of pikmin

  • that bottom one is a whore

  • wow robots are dum!!

  • we crawl before we walk and we walk before we run its just the baby steps of robotics in full swing lool

  • I don't understand. how did these robots "evolve" communication? weren't they programmed to be attracted to the blue light and to put off blue light when they connected to the larger robots? this was a rather boring video.

  • the first robot finds the apple. its food. the other red thind is piosin. they are sending signals to each other to go to the food and not the piosin

  • Yeah a good few people here need to realise that The Terminator was fictional. The cleverest AI around right now are still getting to grips with seeing thedifference betweenanimate and inanimate objects. Making a construct with the capacity to be as intellegent as a fish is still a long, long, very long way off. If AI's scare you then so should Vampires.

  • There will be terminators within 30 years. Guaranteed. Not the kind of terminators running around killing _all_ human beings, but just those with wrong nationality.

  • You are all retarded. Robots cannot and will not take over the world or become self-aware until (MAYBE) after we fuse flesh with machine. Circuits are circuits and they cannot be broken. Flesh, however, is a different story. If you leave flesh to compute - well - flesh is alive and something eventually will happen. Your remote control functions the SAME EXACT WAY any robot or any other electronic item functions. Your remote won't kill you.

  • Very soon computers can do any damn thing a human can do. They'll find a way.

  • You refer to robots as if they were living entities with minds of their own. They are not. They think what we want them to think. Think is exaggerating the process, more like ifs and elses - on a simplified level. Yes, people can program them to do wrong, but that won't happen. The government won't allow the populace to panic by releasing them on a consumer level with capabilities to harm.

Just stop being ignorant and inform yourselves. Research robotics, and how they're built.

  • I know what's up. I was referring to scientists in my post, but soon robots will be too complex for humans to even understand. Who knows what will happen? They will integrate into our society like muslims are integrating into Europe.

  • Religion sucks.

  • Yeah it does. I'm not religious, I'm optimistic. Optimistics, in the end, always win I have noticed. ;)

  • a realist is a optimist with experience ; )

  • Might be. But nobody has experience with the future hahaha. ;)

  • too complex for humans to understand?

were gonna probably make them, how can we make something that we don't understand?

and how things evolve these days I'm pretty sure i can bet on that were going to be the next "super advanced robot"

  • They could (or will, I would say) in the future write their own source codes, for example with evolutionary algorithms. When could we in that situation say "ok, that is enough, that is all we let you do by yourself"? We probably won't at all.

  • You'd raise the intelligence to a level that's suitable for its application, and you remove its ability to further evolve. It's ability to remember and gain new memories will remain, so it can react to different stimuli. However, it's important that the intelligences do only what they're raised to do; else they will prove uncontrollable. Just like humans.

In the labs however, there won't be breaks; it's important to see where it leads. I'd be sorry for its existence though; it must be horrible.

  • Human beings are quite controllable, actually...

  • I'm studying AI myself, and I'm a firm believer that true intelligence cannot be understood; or at least not in this century. However, we can model algorithms that imitate the brain, and themselves learn to do different tasks. A basic framework will be there, which translates roughly to instincts, but the intelligent part needs to be obtained through learning.

I know nothing of robotics, but those are just bodies. What's interesting for me are the brain, be it metal or flesh.

  • you obviously do not have children... and possibly have never encountered any.

  • yeah but if self peservation is its goal and we get in the way it kills us, so why make it want to survive? that solves all the problems.

  • Comment removed

  • Aren't these the same ones who learned to lie? The robots that found the resource things kept getting bumped off, so eventually they learned to stop turning their light things on.

  • No disassemble Johnny Five!

  • lmfao look at the retarded robot

  • ah poor thing might get scraped! xD

  • the other light is like "Fuck this shit" lol

  • HAHAHAHAHA

  • jajaja StarCraft..!

  • lawl look at the loser who couldnt find his friends... outcast

  • you need more vespene gas.

  • hah! best comment this month (i think)

  • @neutron7 WE REQUIRE ADDITIONAL PYLONS

  • @neutron7 Nuclear launch detected.

  • @neutron7 You must construct additional pylons

  • @neutron7 Cheat enabled.

  • now we just have to wait for the greygoo senario

  • they die at the other....stuff? i think i see a skull there

  • Lol there is always an outsider

  • lol you can see the apple logo haha

  • lol @ apple logo

  • Robots won't kill humanity... BECAUSE:

They will be FAR MORE INTELLIGENT then we are, in terms of weighing logic, pros and cons. And any intelligence that had access to all information on the internet would have far more to benefit from working with us to advance us along with them, then from destroying the creators which have the greatest potential of helping sentient robotics to evolve further and become more like they're creators. More...more then whatever they are. And they us. It's logical

  • dude, how can you be so sure?! robots will soon be more advanced than humans, will be able to store more information than humans, and when they get advanced enough to become sentient, they would look at us in disgust, starting the "cleanse of organics"

  • you played to much video games.

  • yeah, I do play too much video games, but you can never be so sure, but we are the most disgusting beings on Earth, we're the reason the world is polluted, we know it, but we don't do anything about it

  • we/I do try to prevent and stop pollution.

besides most robotics being created right now are human enchanted (robotic arm/legs organs) and robots trying to save human lives.

your focussing to much on the "crazy robot taking over the world" theory

  • well what if some terrorist organization reprogrammed the robots, or hacked American military robots in the future

  • states got more advanced technology then terrorist will ever have. you know those series from discovery channel like "future weapons" those are actually older versions of weapons. they can't really show of new weapon technology. (they're afraid of copycats)

technology can also help us understand biology thus it has the possiblity of getting ourselfs closer to cures.

  • you know some robots are actuly programed with the 3 laws of robotics.

  • then there is probably one who isn't. Go johny!

  • there are many robots without them.

  • We don't need to do anything about it we just need to learn how to survive it. Survival is the most basic instinct... even robots logical brains will have that most basic program if they are to be self sustaining

  • this is the terminator buddy ... when we make these machines of corse will make them less inteligent then us .. i mean why would someone be domn enough to let a machine go by istelf .. and if we do make a mchine thet is very advanced (maybe more advanced then us ) we will most likely make some kind os "switch of" meconism so thet if the robot "revolt" we can just turn them of .... so quit fretting of a movie man ...

  • good idea, make their minds focused on one thing each, commercial use, defense, offense, and butler

  • yea .. but still .. if we make robots very advantced and more intelligent then us (not possible cus the human brains is smarter then any computer) but if we do we will have defenses like if the robot relizes we are just using them and they git pissed of in a matter of speacking and revolt we will have some way to turn them of .. we arent that dumn ... we arent going to be like cyberdine ...

  • I don't think you can make AI, but if you did and it was "less intelligent" than us, it would simply make itself more intelligent after a few seconds of calculating every possible outcome, creating more of itself, create ways for these new ones to interface so they can join as one, and loop the process until it can work out anything in a fraction of a second.

But then we just turn the power off. :P

(Until it finds a way to branch out via physical means by making itself a body, of course.)

  • yes we can make AI ... we are all the time .... and that is why we give them simple directions and make sure they dont "

revolt" or try to turn against us ... and besides .. this isnt the terminator ...

  • Exactly. I robot is only as smart as the people who built it. Every scenario a robot might encounter is observed by it's creators first so a robot will never do anything that it wasn't built to do. It can't make a decision that wasn't foreseen by it's creator. So, if robots take over, it's because a person told it to. For example : /// Make destructive robot bool veryAngry; if (veryAngry == true) { // Destroy mankind! } else { bool continue = true; // DO nice things :) }
  • not if they have a trial and error system that stores what the robot has already tried, and then tells it not to do it again.

  • not to do it again if its bad. but what is these robots task? to group with same colour robots on a mother robot?

  • and besides, a robot cant harm a human unless a human programs it too.. go to colledge and learn this stuff.. geez.. even 8th grade sciencee teaches you robotic crap.. robots need to be able to learn.. as that computer in the movie....

    war games... pretty cool

  • But what if a human DOES program it to?

  • kill the robot with some water or (run if its water proof.. the batteries will die sooner or later) and arrest the person who programed it to.. its like a bug so far.. just step on it.. when its human sized.. fight as if it were human..

  • Read: self-charging stations (roomba)

  • Yes man! start the fiht: take off your clothes and burn them! Then throw your computer, your mp3 player out of the window, break the window, light your house on fire, and go live in the woods.

And dont you dare to wear animal skins - thats technology!

  • Asimovs three laws of robotics are fiction you know, it's not like it's automaticlaly programmed into any circuit.

Also if a robot was regenerative and self-seeks energy/resources it would be virtually unstoppable except to EMP.

  • we have EMP in abundance. Sadly our frail bodies can't handle the nukes that bring the EMP.

  • except that nukes arent the only thing that sets off an electromagnetic pulse.

just because you watched GoldenEye doesnt mean you know what youre talking about.

first off, a nuclear EMP is only felt when the blast is out of our atmosphere, thus negating the effect of the nuke.

second, an EMP is not even remotely hard to reproduce, and is used as a way to stop high speed pursuits on highways. set a small one off underneath a car, and it dies. its fairly simple...

  • Firstly I never saw Goldeneye so don't know what you're talking about.

Secondly I never said nukes were the only way of producing EMP.

Thirdly knowing a lot about nukes and EMP doesn't give you a right to be a dickhead.

  • i agree :) and i did watch GoldenEye and the game freakin rules on the 64 so no talkin shit about GoldenEye haha no just messing but really that guy was kinda a dick so i agree with you haha

  • Comment removed

  • Because we have nukes in abundance, we dont have dedicated emp devices in abundance.

Why the fuck are you here, being a dick, to someone you don't know?

Read the fucking comments before you post.

  • After posting that last comment I walked off wondering what gormless reply you would come up with. Then I realised how ridiculous that is. You see I learnt a long time ago that, as I value your opinion so lowly, the outcome of these arguments mean nothing to me. So I'm just going to say that you won. Are you happy? I hope so. Otherwise you're running the risk of realising how empty your life really is.

  • pwned

  • They've already made an AI at your intelligence level. It's called Windows Vista. You can't spell for shit and you don't really understand what you're talking about. So do us all a favor and uninstall Vista from your brain, and start using XP. You're killing us here.

  • lLoOL

  • Anthropomorphization is stupid. Don't give AI a reason to hate us and it won't. An AI is not human. An AI does not think like a human. Probably the only human like motivation it would have is self preservation.

  • but say that (like in iRobot) we give them the command to not let any hamr on humans, we harm oursleves a lot, even a paper cut is harm

  • Bad idea. Anything truly self aware is smart enough to obey non-literal instructions. Giving an AI a command that it absolutely must follow is a terrible idea. First of all, it can think away around that if it wants to. Think zeroeth law in Asimov's stories. Second, it leads to very nasty situations, 2001 type situations. Just show some trust, that'll work far better.

  • well... untill they read some of the comments on youtube that is. :)

  • Someday .. they gonna create some Robotic army

    and they gonna kill humanality

  • humanality? You mean Humanity? :P

  • Yea lol

  • The link is broken, but I remember this article. The two large objects are labeled poison and food. The bots can't tell which is which unless they are almost touching. The robots are programmed with the simple orders "avoid poison" and "seek food". They eventually form their own language.

  • robots think they will take over, but the cats will beat them to it ;0)

  • Wow, this is cool, I actually like the idea of autonomy and communication among robots, they aren't gonna kill us.

  • why? we kill each other they are only doing what they learn from us, can a murderer teach something not to kill? they can try but it's going to slip in there eventually. just saying it's human nature is all

  • I can imagine the prison for robots... =))

every day they would get a cellphone battery, 1000000000000000 calculations exercise, and electromagnetic disturbances after 10 PM so they don't communicate, and all power down ;))

  • the last one didnt fall for pure preasure =] good for it

  • congratulations... you can't spell

  • i dont try to spell well

  • pure preasure? do you mean peer pressure? i'm not trying to be rude (much), i'm just confused.

  • god dang robot clicks r so mean

  • The robot who got kicked out was the best part.

  • Robot up at the right "AW SCREW THIS MAN, I'M GOING FOR A BEER!"

  • Lol, one of them was kicked out because it was different. Just like humans!

  • hahah that last one is a douche. He doesnt follow the crowd.

  • maybe its just an individual and has its own way of doing things.

  • If you look at the website it says that one red line is food and the other is poison...

I guess even robots have emos that want to slash their circuts and rub in poison. lol
