The 1992 Presidential Debates with Ross Perot were not dull. His warnings have now come true. Replace John McCain with Ron Paul. Add Ralph Nader and Cynthia McKinney. Barack Obama must earn his victory, not win by default.
I don't want to support Obama but since Nadar has become completely shut out from politics thanks to the GOP and Dems but I guess Obama would be a bit better then McCain atlest I think he could try to fix something with our economy =/
So I've donated to and helped spread the word about Nader during the last two elections Mainly because I saw no difference between the two major parties candidate
Now that I've lived with the Bush economy & there is a difference between the parties I'm to broke to donate any cash to Obama
I honestly can not understand what Nader is thinking at this point, how can he not support real change? Sure neither of them are perfect, just like Nader isnt
if you think that an Obama presidency wouldnt be vastly different than any we have seen before your dillusional. whether its good or bad is debatable it sure as hell would be a CHANGE
There is no doubt an Obama presidency will be more like a Bill Clinton presidency than the horrendous Bush presidency we've survived. Nader should have been in the debates, but they always screw him. I have to support Obama because Nader has no chance. And I can't stomach another 4-years under Republicans.
I'm still thinking of who to vote for, in between Nader and McKinney. Both of their actions and records are the best of all the candidates, I wonder if Nader has more support than McKinney... I'll probably vote for McKinney.
I know you probably won't respond to my comment ManilaRyce, but I'd like to hear your thoughts.
i love mckinney. i like nader. to be honest, i also think about voting for bob barr, i think there are some crazy aspects about him but i have a soft spot for truly libertarian conservatives.
i just like casting protest votes, actually. i want someone to get five percent and shake this system up. i pitch for barack obama but when i get in the booth i bet i'll vote for the independent most likely to get five percent. tween you me and the wall, it's the best vote you can cast.
That's a hard decision I too was faced with. I personally chose to endorse Nader, though I support McKinney as well. He's polling higher (at about 6%-8%) and doesn't represent any particular organization. I find it a bit unsettling that McKinney's run is being used primarily to grow the Green Party. As a believer in direct democracy, I believe all political parties are part of the problem. I like that the Nader campaign can focus on issues without worrying about labels.
Hi Witzkeyman, well you know with only 15 percent of Americans supporting the Bush-McCain policies, he could use help ;P ... Nah, I'm kidding.
It's what ever people believe, if Americans really think most support the war and George Bush, then that's what they believe. People are waaay to manipulated by the TV, which often spouts lies and propaganda. But we're on the same side, I just think radical change is needed, and we differ on that.
I've watched eagerly to see what the indy Candts. were gonna do.
The Dems had a shoe-in election a year ago, Then went with the Freshman Senator from Chicago(Mob-run town), born in HI and Black. Woa, don't want to make this race an easy one. Oh and he's supported many of the worst policies. Ie Patriot Act, Telcom Immty..
McKinney chooses another Woman (Black and from the Hip-Hop caucus, no less) easy sell for Amer. voters?
Nader chose a young Civic Leader, M.G. He & RN are Tested..

Maybe b/c Obama does not represent true change why Nader does not support him.

highway234, take a look at Bob Barr. I don't know about you, but I don't trust a Former CIA Agent who also works for CNN. Take a look into that.

McKinney is someone I like and would trust Lucidtomr. remember, a vote for a third party is a vote for John McCain.
