  • my dad takes part in this every year and i still think he's nuts. then again you cant stop someone like him doing something like this, i think he takes pride in completing it, and i would too if i was brave enouth.

  • woah, thats friggin' mental. fair play

  • Did you see those lads shins...they were cut to ribbons

  • Yeh Kerry i agree, by the time i got to this section the banks were just pure mud and some of the ditches seemed impossible to get out of on your own! Fantastic day though!

  • To be honest these guy had it easier than use lot in the middle- the banks were covered in mud and it was impossible to get out on your own! I still wouldn't wanna be ice breaking though. Thanks to all those who helped me out!!

  • I think there were more damaged shins this year. It was cold and there ws ice but the air temperature was colder last year. One guy stopped in front of me while I was taking a picture and pointed down to his shins and said 'is that a bone sticking out'. I told him it was very swollen but not a bone. He had that deliriously happy hypothermic look just nodded and started running again. Tough guy...Yohimbe!!!!

  • how do i sign up for next year?
