  • I am so in love in this song

  • They are so cute

  • this is so very nice. i was 13 in1967 and living in Quebec City. this song played continuously on my little transistor radio. its such a beautiful song and brings back feel good memories. we had taken the family summer holidays at Expo 67 in Montreal.

    .

  • I was at Expo 67 too. I was 8 and lived in Montreal back then. Loved this song. Kudos to Mayor Drapeau.

  • I was at Expo '67! Spilt my beer all over my pants! Ontario pavillion was great...

  • I love her diction.

  • Wasnt this part of the Ed Sullivan Show at Expo67.

  • @CanadaguyRudey I think so, Ed Sullivan did a broadcast at Expo 67 in colour.

  • Great tune, but it doesn't feel "live" to me.

  • @vampyros1 Judith, the lead singer has 'perfect pitch' and is still singing in key now. Her solo career, while not as prominent as the seekers was successful.

wait a minute didn't i just hear a note a quarter of a key out near the end. No this is LIVE.

  • @vampyros1 It is indeed live.

  • Sweet upbeat brass mix.

  • Wonderful video! I was At Expo 67, i was five. I remember the pavilions, the snowflake logo signs on the way into the city.

  • Have loved this song ever since I first heard it, and the group as well. This is a great performance.

By the way, I worked at Expo 67, although unfortunately I did not attend this show.

  • As I follow judith life in music I continually find video clips that I never seen before.

Forty Four years later I am still fond of everything that she does.

    Love You Judith. Sir David

  • Why is Eugene Levy playing the bass?? :)

  • @Picardy who's eugene levy//

atol guy plays bass here with those geek city glasses

  • @dalinean haha - he's a Canadian actor and played in The Mighty Wind, a tribute to folk bands. It was just a joke because they look alike. Cheers.

  • This clip is a testament to the cultural grandeur of expo '67...if I'm not mistaken this was part of the Ed Sullivan broadcast from Montreal. To be a Canadian and to have Ed pick up his show and move it - even temporarily - to Canada was nothing short of the Earth moving. To young Canadians now - and those non Canadians of 43 years ago - the delirium of the fair - which had most Canucks hugging themselves with joy - and what it meant to a national sense of self is almost impossible to recapture.

  • The Seekers are my favorite ever singing group. In this performance, I feel the backup music is below the usual standards for them. In particular, the electric guitar and the drums are too loud. Maybe someone wanted to make the music louder for the American audience(?)

  • @LibraryUser61 A live performance will always sound different unless sung or lipsynched to a backing track. The music here is satisfyingly close to the original, to my ears. In fact I am impressed with how good it is.

  • @LibraryUser61 Why would anyone feel compelled to make the guitar and drums louder for a certain audience? Besides, Canada is not in the U.S.; it's a different country .....

  • This is my first time to see this video, and it's very good! Great song that I've loved since I was a child. Thanks

  • Would you know wher this clip comes from?

Not much of the two Ed Sullivan Shows during Expo67 can be found ! This would have been done at the Expo Theatre at la Cité du Havre (for those familiar with Mntreal ) . I was 21 and starrting my career at Radio-Canada Montreal ,

I worked with that equipment after Expo67 for

several years . Thanks for posting !

Cameras used RCA tk 42 -hence my handle.

  • Was this part of the Ed Sullivan show which I beleive was at Expo

  • Yes, it was. This clip was even featured on a CBC documentary about Expo 67.

  • This is really an amazing video. Not because of the song. The radio stations just wore it out and I don't particularly like it. But this was taped as part of their ONLY North American tour. A few stops in Canada and the US and so long Seekers. The US kinda blew them off, so they did us. And it's our loss. Wonderful band. They just had lousy mgt.

  • They didn't "blow us off." Their insanely conservative management had contractually obligated them to numerous, substandard gigs in England. Believe me. All four of them would have preferred to be touring the US in support of Georgy Girl...

  • First time I saw this video.

Judith was always shy about her weight but there was nothing at all wrong with her. Nothing at all !

    Judith Still Love Your Music
