I have a similar computer from the information you gave. I run everything on max settings and I play at 1080p. Go ahead and do the same, just turn off the shadows. A few tips when you're looking for a job around here: Forget trying to get a job in a shop or bar/restaurant. If you're having FPS problems with SWTOR, it might be just an issue with the install. You should probably uninstall and reinstall, it should fix the graphical bugs and the lag.

Try and play with the resolution in SWTOR a little bit. I had similar problems and after changing the resolution it worked fine. Also have the i7.

Just a quick note. Gig, from Gigabyte does not have plural. So, Gig's' is wrong. 8Gig of RAM, not 8Gigs of RAM.
