I never played an Enix game, so I won't judge their games, without having tried them, but what I DO know, is that the shit hit the fan, the minute that fucking company merged with Squaresoft. @KatanaSole I heard a lot of good things about dragonquest. I think I might look into it. There was a reason a long while ago that I stayed away from Enix games. I can't remember why though. I dunno if it was because they were "cartoony"(not really a word, I know. lol), but from all the publicity I hear from dragonquest, I'm guessing the game has to be awesome, so it's probably worth checking out.

@AnakhaSilver Yeah, Kingdom Hearts seems to be a rare exception. A lot of people bashed that game, but I actually kind of enjoyed it. I wouldn't exactly hail it as perfect, but it was definitely fun and kept me interested. I'm not a big fan of the Chi-bi thing though, but the story was excellent.

Although it wasn't as Chi-bi as 9, so I can't complain. I REALLY disliked 9 because they all looked like children. That in itself sort of broke immersion for me, but again, the story was good.

@Lance241151 You actually just proved my point. You like the old games, but they had JUST as many flaws as they do NOW. FF8's battle system was much too easy to break (100 Curaga junctioned to health as early as Timber mission, 100 Water junctioned to Strength as early as post-Fire Cavern, 30 Triple junctioned to everyone as early as you could if you got Quistis' card). FF7's plot is convoluted and needlessly confusing with a bazillion plot twists and way too much pseudo=psychology.
