  • I like how they put Denton next to a statue of Buddha in the image - it says something.

  • @Keliannxyz

And it's available at gog.com! DRM free! :D

Thanks to that, Deus Ex will live on forever.

  • SONg rips off metallica- sanitarium, but its still cool.

  • I like to play epic sounding songs while I poop, for some reason I find it extremely funny. Lately this has been my favourite choice, just look at that name!

  • A legendary game.

  • very very good song.wonderful.

  • This soundtrack is really wonderful. This game must not be forgotten!

  • I have never had the honour to play Deus Ex, so I don't know how is the buddha statue involved in the plot, but I actually find this picture frightening.

  • @6447912 1) Play it for pc...like now. 2)That statue is the last of your worries in a game like that

  • I came to watch you die

  • 36 sec and onwards is my fav.

  • Thank you miguel.

  • @Keliannxyz

    My memory is augmented.

  • @Keliannxyz i actually found the game as a dusty computer disk in one of my dads filing cabinets and started to play it and thought it was amazing! I like to think of it as...."the sleeping beast awoken" or the "sleeping augmented agent awoken from his sleep in the cloning tube"

  • Awesome!

  • One of the best things about Deus Ex was this plot twist. In most other games, plot twists are either of these two types:

    1. They're constantly being led up to, and as thus, are ridicolously easy to foresee, making the character's surprised reaction hilarious.

    2. They're not being led up to at all, and as such, make no sense whatsoever.

Deus Ex managed to build it up enough so that the twist made sense, but without telegraphing it from the very beggining, so it was still quite a surprise.

  • on your way to unatcoo to take revenge

    this part of the game

    r.i.p. madnerely

    r.i.p anna navarre.

    r.i.p unacto

gunter hermann at libery island "no i cannot forigve, no not the killing of agent navarre.., i will follw you denton! i will get you"

    best game

  • 1 person thought he had to wait in the cell until someone came to fix the door.

  • The best game ever, IMHO. I hope Deus Ex 3: Human Revolution to be at least comparable with this absolute masterpiece.

  • This soundtrack should be named "ESCAPE FROM UNATCO" in my opinion ;]

  • @mark1991ization that would be spoiling it

  • @elmalhermano why spoiling ?

  • @mark1991ization well playing the game you start in unatco, the fack that you defect from unatco is a mayor twist of the story tehrefore a spoiler

  • @elmalhermano oh ! I get your point. Well, that's ironic.... but i think JC made right decision to leave this shit...

  • I love this soundtrack. Greetings everyone :D

  • out of the MJ12 lab, UNATCO return.

  • when you come into the level and arrive the doctor (forgot the name) it was like wtf that whole base was here, especially this feeling is stronger with this soundtrack

  • No, you cannot be allowed to die. I need you, be prepared to leave the cell very soon.

  • crap i was going to upload this, then i saw i was beaten to it

  • I think this was the track from Deus Ex that reminded me of the music from the old Nintendo game Ninja Gaiden (which also had great music for a video game).

  • best

  • 0:36 reminds me of Rome: Total War.

  • for those trying to run this game on newer systems: do a google search for "Deus EX on Modern PC"s", there is a DX9, DX10 and updated OpenGL render available for the game that should run it much better on todays hardware than the older DX7 renderer.

  • Thanks for that information, ive noticed that even with respectable hardware DX seems to run like shit... I thought the renderer might have had something to do with it. Coolz. I still play this game, even though I;ve beaten it a bajillion fucking times. Been getting into the multiplayer lately, actually...

  • @dtmbcorp if you have more than one processor then the game may run in slow motion. you need to specify the processor affinity to only one cpu, then it will run smoothly

  • 0:36

    Oh god. So awesome.

  • I've played through this game more times than any game I own or have played. This is THE BEST first person of all time, i just with the sequel lived up to this one.

  • I love this game. I should instal it on my comp now and playit again. I love FPS and DX is tied for best one ever with HL 1 to me. This game is great.

  • tell me about it... i passed 17 times (and yes i hev counted)

  • Since I haven't gotten into PC games until recently, I'm trying to aquire various games I've missed out on. This one isn't on my list. Why? Becase it's already on the way and I'll hopefully be playing it within the week. xD;

  • How did go then?

  • Assuming you actually are interested, I got up to Hong Kong and then work ended up taking over. That's at an end now, though, so I'm going to resume after the holidays.

I'm certainly not disappointed so far, though.

  • yes I was genuinly interested in how you are doing - I havent worked out how to reply to comments from my inbox - let me know how NYC after HK goes - thats a lovely level stay on the roof and snipe

  • best soundtrack in the whole game

  • Those eerie swells starting around 0:08 sound like the opening music at the beginning of the movie "Silent Night Deadly Night 2."

    Amazing music here. Just amazing.

  • Awesomely atmospheric. This music is genius. Not only it fits 100% with Deus Ex environment, but it sounds awesome even on its own. But for those who've played it carries the unique atmosphere of Deus Ex world. dystopia, nanotechnology, ultimate power, and the cover of night. I just... love it. <3

  • fantastic music.really.

  • some of the best bg music in gaming was in this title...

  • One of the best soundtracks of all time- so much atmosphere! Check out Alexander Brandon's other works such as the Unreal/Tournament soundtracks and even the Jazz Jackrabbit soundtracks! They rock =P

  • Did he do the music for Jazz Jackrabbit 2? That had one of the BEST soundtracks I've EVER heard in a computer game.

  • Yep, because of this music this level is so cool. But I'm looking for track that was played in this level during combat. Does anyone know where I can find it?

  • Ah! Loved this one. It fit the level Perfectly
