ok I'm old, but she reminds me of Nicolette Larson. At least her voice or style reminds me and that is a very positive thing. It's a compliment that a new singer evokes old familiar feelings...it does not detract from Beth Rowley's individual talent!! Cheers!

Just to see if they can make us spend £10.99 on an album that sounds exactly the same as one that costs 99p a few shelves away that came out in 1971.

Beth Rowley, Winehouse, Duffy and friends must check their bank accounts and have a good laugh.

Waste of talent here, all these songs, just drunk with nostalgia, they're all just one liners, once you get it's just boring. Nice, cute, harmless and boring.

Well, you're clearly wrong, even looking around comments on this thread proves you wrong. Beth Rowley is obviously talented and people love listening to her music. She may share musical traits with other singers, but she still has her own unique sound and style. Go away and grow up, you don't have to love it but don't rubbish it just because she reminds you of someone else.

I first heard this on the radio & wondered if it was something from the early 1970s. To me her voice is very Carole King - Helen Ready-ish. If there had been horn & string sections as well I would have been totally fooled.

The video's a nice retro piece, Super 8 is always a nice touch.

i`m not sure but i think she is slightly influenced by billy joel this record sounds a little bit like leave a tender moment alone.......and oh my life .........some of her notes were definately billy orientated ...just my opinion .. a brillant artist though .....a natural
