  • Oh I wish I could figure out how to make my vids look like yours. I am just a dummy....LOL

  • I know I already said this in a different way but this thread still weighs on my mind with the fact that so many parents are that lax about their kids. If it came down to getting paid more or taking care of the kids I would just have to get paid a little less for the moment.

  • Thanksfor your comment Angie. Peace Mar

  • Very interesting topic mate Ive found myself asking the same question. Parents who bring their kids to school sick is both irresponsible as a parent and irresponsible in regards to knowingly bringing the kids in putting other children at risk of contracting that illness. stupiddddos haha xx

  • Exactly! Thanks for your comment....Peace Mar

  • One thing we never did was send any of our 5 children to school if they had ANY type of temperature. And if they were on an antibiotic, they always stayed home for a day or two before they went back. As much as we did depend on our paychecks, the kids came first. Fortunately we had jobs that allowed for such things. You have very good points Mar. If only people thought of their kids more instead of letting others worry about them.

  • I don't understand how careless or clueless parents are. My son goes to school events or a rollerskating rink some Fridays. The event ends at 11pm Either me or my wife picks him up well before 11. I often hear that some of his friends wait a long time for a ride and have had to call several times for a ride. I'm sorry I know where my kids are and what they're up to. Nobody ever needs to be that busy or need money so bad that you take a lax approach with your kids.

  • I wish more parents had your standards. Thanks for your comment......Peace Mar

  • It's too bad more parents don't feel this way. But you're right that is a real problem.

  • I had an in-home daycare for 10 yrs during the 80's-90's and the parents usually never thought twice about bringing me a sick baby or toddler or school-ager. Mostly because they had employers who couldn't care less about their sick kids, just wanted them at work. And back-ups just never really panned out. I had a couple of granmas who would pitch in in it was serious but usually I was on my own and disinfecting everthing everyday etc.

  • I worked with young children as well as the older disabled children. My experience with the older disabled kids up to 21, parents who stayed home even sent sick kids. I'd suspect the parents feel it is giving them a break sending them to school. As far as choosing kids over work, parents who depend on the paycheck kind of have a catch 22. Many employers are very strict on attendance. It's a tough situation all around.

  • I understand the demanding employer, but is it fair to expose the other kids and caregivers to a contagious illness? Thanks for your comment.
