  • I always thought that this was a better song than 'Terry' but I liked them both.

  • I remember Kenny & Cash playing a demo by Twinkle & Road on Big L, 266 . . something about my pussycat's got rabbits feet?! The things that stick in your mind for 50 years :-) It was crazy and maybe didn't get issued.

  • Brilliant song! I do think that the late Kirsty McColl had a very similar vocal style to the lovely Twinkle.

  • sounds good Twinkle

  • Never heard this version, definitely like it better than The Smiths version of it.

  • @mothersfreakout Check out the Janice Whaley version of it, she has made every Smiths song. It is brilliant, as most people say the Smiths doing this song was one of the worst thing they ever did.

  • The remastered CD has extra tracks on it and is well worth buying. Would love to see Twinkle again on Never Mind The Buzzcocks as I missed her appearance first time round!

  • Followed this up after seeing the photo of Twinkle in the 60s Exposed exhibition in Norwich. And I like both versions of the song

  • I love the smiths... but really, they destroyed the song . First time I listen it in its original version, thanks for the song!

  • As much as I adore the Smith's they ruined this song :(

  • I loved this when it first came out. When was it?

  • Golden Lights was released in 1965.

  • I tried to look like you (Twinkle) then. Huge black eyeliner and long blonde hair...... those were the days. (oops apologies for Mary Hopkins mention!!)

  • I love this, thanks for upload those songs :)
