I remember Kenny & Cash playing a demo by Twinkle & Road on Big L, 266 . . something about my pussycat's got rabbits feet?! The things that stick in your mind for 50 years :-) It was crazy and maybe didn't get issued.
@mothersfreakout Check out the Janice Whaley version of it, she has made every Smiths song. It is brilliant, as most people say the Smiths doing this song was one of the worst thing they ever did.
The remastered CD has extra tracks on it and is well worth buying. Would love to see Twinkle again on Never Mind The Buzzcocks as I missed her appearance first time round!
I tried to look like you (Twinkle) then. Huge black eyeliner and long blonde hair...... those were the days. (oops apologies for Mary Hopkins mention!!)
I always thought that this was a better song than 'Terry' but I liked them both.

Brilliant song! I do think that the late Kirsty McColl had a very similar vocal style to the lovely Twinkle.

Followed this up after seeing the photo of Twinkle in the 60s Exposed exhibition in Norwich. And I like both versions of the song
