  • Saying that a Koi is not a carp is like saying that the Katana is not a sword.

A carp is a type of fish, a Koi is a type of carp.

As such, a sword is a type of weapon, a Katana is a type of sword.

  • mr.? how can i know that my koi fish is good quality??

  • can i buy your koi?? and how can i buy ? do you have a #?

  • Aww they're so cute I want to hold them

  • they should see at the thai temple. a little bigger than this and nicer color.

  • Im calling total shenanigans. No way that fish is a grand champion with the black dot defect on its lip. Im sure you wont let this get posted since you insist on post power control

  • ok, the sanke you are referring to in the video has a black dot on its lip. Correct me if Im wrong, but isnt what separates a sanke from a showa is the lack of black on its head?

  • Mine are way too small :(

  • we love our koi. They are fairly easy to raise in a pond.

  • I love koi!!

  • carp/koi its the same

    lollll

  • @19soyen73 not really normal carp is edible while koi is only for display

  • I prefer my original carps the seven big bastards (L)

  • i saw a chinese website/forum that bought many of those competition Koi Carps for auction sale

the price for some of them went over $1000 US dollars... lollll even the cheapest ones starts from like $200 USD..

  • Why do they mess up the enviorment or pollute water?

  • Are you LOST its not a CARP its a KOI.

  • please read up on carp/koi to learn more about this fish... do a search on wikipedia "enter what is a koi"

mikal0ng let me know if you would like me to take down your comment... "Are you LOST its not a CARP its a KOI" I really would not like anyone replying to your posting in a negative way. All the hobbyist, judges; dealers have always referred to the koi as a carp The word "koi" comes from Japanese, simply meaning "carp."

  • Koi means "coloured carp"

  • on that note: you may wish to visit Wikipedia and correct how they define KOI under the Etymology section (The word 'koi' comes from Japanese, simply meaning "carp.") It is possible that the person that created the posting for Wikipedia was misinformed.

  • @caesaryanez

  • Lovely
