  • Lost my Virginity to this song! XD

  • Esta es una rolononona, muy buena, musicalmente, vocalmente, el ritmo todo, es una joya dentro del basto universo musical de estos cantantes.

  • The whole introspective album that this came from originally in 1988 is good, I've got it in my car at the minute!

  • @themanmaschine true but actually this is the single version, the album version is 8 min longer and a lot better

  • This is one of the greatest songs of all time. I can't believe some of the pish that passes for music these days.

I remember some of my friends thought I was weird liking the Pet Shop Boys but even they were blown away by this song.

  • I remember this one it was played at both gay & straight clubs back in the day.

  • Great song and video...even though they use computers to compose their music, the result is excellent. Greetings from beautiful Athens, Greece

  • test

  • It's all about Che Guevara and Debussy to a disco beat !

  • @zooropah82

Che Guevara doesn't even know the meaning of freedom. What a charlatan he was!

  • @SpacerAM2 Cool story bro.

  • My favourite PSB song.

  • Wow!! Impecable tema. Lo estuvieron utilizando en el carrusel deportivo de la SER durante años. A día de hoy es un tema fresco y de un ritmo como sólo PSB saben dar.

  • arbejdet i emdrup og hørte den i toget...fed nummer.

  • This, and Erasure's 'A Little Respect' both came out just after I was born and they're two of my favourite songs of all time.

  • Got to be one of my favorite songs from the 1980s, my sister dosen't get this song at all, however it's a shames that the ending of the Single version doesn't feature the ending of the Album Version

  • "I get out of bed at half past ten. Phone up a friend who's a party animal."

I remember those days well. :-) This song captures and describes them perfectly. Great job, PSB! You're the best!

  • Neil is sooo cute!! even now he's cute!

  • det var dengang jeg arb i emdrup..og hørte psb.i tog frem og tilbage..og var 17 år..fed musik..har altid været til psb.hilsen musse

  • They are Awesome and Far Beyond Cool.

    Lóóóve them!

  • i love them, utterly and totally

  • Welcome to PERU PSB !!!!!! ... our dream make true, you are the best our times

  • I'm 38 and re discovered them again.

    Happy days

  • the pet shop boys should have at least 6 grammys!! it amazes me how many untalented shitty artists have won! i can't think of one bad song that the Pet Shop Boys have done!! and how many breeders don't even know who they are!!

  • "How many breeders don't even know who they are"? How about, "how many queers don't even know who they are!" Almost none of my friends that are gay know anything the Pet Shop Boys have done, save for West End Girls.

  • @cwecub

Oi, I'm a breeder and I've always loved them,! ;D

  • @cwecub

    You are absolutely right.

  • @cwecub I sure would like to know who the "breeders" are you refer to. ( cause I'm pretty sure you were brought into this world not from a chicken egg but from a womb) .

  • LOVE this... will you please post a video for "Drama"? That's my all time fave... XOXO PSBs! :)

  • PSB WERE the 80s. This song shows their essential contribution to the birth of todays electronic music (techno, trance, etc). They knew how to use a mini-moog, korg, and all the electronic production equipment of their day, to a T. They deserve a lifetime achievement award. Without them, I dont thingk dance music would be where it is today. And Neil Tennant . . . what a voice. In one word: Respect. :)

  • Yeah goodjon11 I simply have that one word to them: Respect too.

  • Not really, synth pop with all its great artists and all the other 80s bands that used synthesizers were just one of the many contributing factors to modern electronic music.

  • Man i love these guys. Best group ever and they bring back such awesome memories.

  • THIS IS IT! PET SHOP BOYS AT IT'S BEST!!!

There is no better music group then the Pet Shop Boys!

Back then as I was young, I listened to them day and night, they kept me going, they were my life. Today, in my 40s, I stillove them and I still listen to them on a daily basis. Nobody eles could make such good melody music!

I love the PET SHOP BOYS!

"I was faced with the choice at a difficult age..."

  • hahah...amen! Thats the most impressive tribute to PSB ever

  • Oh, I know. My God, where have all the creative people gone? If someone can write stellar music in their teens through20's, why can't they do it in their 40's when they have all those additional years of wisdom? From Blondie to Culture Club, though, no one really seems to be able to make much of a comeback. I don't understand.

  • Best performance, best videoclip (it's a trip!), I forever loved this song

  • sempre grandi!

  • Dave are you male or female? I can not see in your picture hahaha

  • @ Dave stop your mouth when you are just talking nonsense. You bored me

  • But I was never being boring.

  • Have you ever heard of Bono? :-D

  • Hahahaha!

I never thought of it that way!

I've always loved the Pet Shop Boys but maybe you're right, lol!

Neil Tennant is a trip, I swear!

By the way, thanks for the chuckle buddy!

  • And so? Enjoy it or shut up!

  • Isnt this the US video version? I seem to remember an aircraft flying low over a field in the vid??

  • That 's 'Two Divided By Zero', from their movie 'It Couldn't Happen Here'.

  • the plane is also in always on my mind, i think

  • thanks for putting this on

  • part of the lyrics is about how my life was at the time.

  • Two things that helped me during the most awful aspect of my life...the Pet Shop Boys and gymnastics. Never underestimate the power of music. I memorised this song when I was given it as a record at age 14. I wanted to marry Chris Lowe!

  • I agree, this is one of the greatest love songs ever written, It means a lot to me and always will

  • Pet Shop Boys and gymnastics (?) I probably shouldn't be laughing but I am. So there!

  • why dont they maKE A MUSICAL, GAY MUSICAL , I WOULD SAY, WITH THE SPONGS OF PSP, JUST LIKE MAMMA MIA, IT WOULD TURN OUT GREAT AND A REAL SUCCESS , DONT U YHINK.

  • they already did it it's called closer to heaven

  • classsssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • amazing this song! I love it.....

  • great video.....

    salu2!!!

  • A Trevor Horn epic production.

  • It certainly is. Although Neil Tenant remarked at the time 'I don't know how Trevor Horn puts his signature production on a song, as at no time did I see him operate any studio equipment'.

  • A melhor musica do mundoooooooooooooooooo!!!

  • The single version (with the thumpier bass) is much better than the album version...

  • i love this vid, every now and then you can see chris' bits jiggle around... tee hee hee

  • top tune.

  • Hi Neil.

  • Such a great song, but the album version has so much more weight and class. Vintage PSB.

  • How I wish they made a album version tooo!!! It has the whole detail of the song!!! Love this song!!!

  • love this song since I am maybe 13-14 years...so 20 years!! OMG!

  • I really like the long version of this song. I am a big fan of PSB, but well... this video never did anything for me.

I get the concept, they are on a glass floor with the audience perspective from underneath it. But I don't want Chris doing crotch squats above my head (or whatever he is doing at 1:18). So great song, video is feh.

  • Yeah I love the album version too..

  • I've madness in my mind!!

  • Great song, I was brought up listening to these guys

  • This music reminds me of one of my best moments in my life. Great song.

  • The original 'Introspective' version of this is one of my all time favourite songs.

  • me gusta mucho la musica y en general la cancion, no mucho el video, muy padre !!!!!

  • ?Padre?

  • Another great production from Trevor Horn

  • basically a good good tuen up there with Domino Dancing & West End Girls as their best.

  • simplemente un poema.amo esta cancion!!!

  • Ooh my goodness, was 12 years old when I kept playing this song. Awesome.

  • alguien se acuerda en chile que en el quazar los shows empezaban con esta cancion, eran la introduccion , que dias ,Oh Dios, que dias

  • This is sick. One of the great basslines in history. I'm glad I've got all their classic stuff.

  • This song really resonates to me!

  • magnificent stuff

  • questa è una delle mie canzoni preferite in assoluto!!!! fa venire i brividi... grazie psb.

    faby

  • I really love this video, besides from the outstanding music. I find it highly artistic since it does emphasize on a very special perspective, movements and colors only. I doesn't actually want to make a movie out of the songs meaning, like most music clips do. In terms of estheticism its typically PSB avantgardism - timeless.

  • I've always loved this band since the 1980's their music is fantastic. But I've only liked a few of their videos. I don't like most of their videos because it's like they weren't even trying. It's like they hired someone to do it for them. They are great at song writing, great at lyric writing, and their style is great, but a lot of their videos I just don't like. I don't want to call them crap, just I don't think they are very good.

  • My best song of Pet Shop Boys! Thanks for uploading :-)

  • PSB Lover ;)

    For a better world***

    Por um mundo melhor***

  • Are they gay?

  • Neil is; don't know about Chris. Not that it's at all relevant to the music. They're certainly my favourite pop group!

  • im not gay but i love it

  • Im not gay either but they are one of the best song writers of modern times. Classic stuff.

  • no one cares what you say so shut up

  • shut up it's a good song if you don't like it than don't even think about commenting this video of pet shop boys pet shop boys is my favourite singer and hes good looking so go away who ever you are
