Wow!! Impecable tema. Lo estuvieron utilizando en el carrusel deportivo de la SER durante años. A día de hoy es un tema fresco y de un ritmo como sólo PSB saben dar.
Got to be one of my favorite songs from the 1980s, my sister dosen't get this song at all, however it's a shames that the ending of the Single version doesn't feature the ending of the Album Version
the pet shop boys should have at least 6 grammys!! it amazes me how many untalented shitty artists have won! i can't think of one bad song that the Pet Shop Boys have done!! and how many breeders don't even know who they are!!
"How many breeders don't even know who they are"? How about, "how many queers don't even know who they are!" Almost none of my friends that are gay know anything the Pet Shop Boys have done, save for West End Girls.
@cwecub I sure would like to know who the "breeders" are you refer to. ( cause I'm pretty sure you were brought into this world not from a chicken egg but from a womb) .
PSB WERE the 80s. This song shows their essential contribution to the birth of todays electronic music (techno, trance, etc). They knew how to use a mini-moog, korg, and all the electronic production equipment of their day, to a T. They deserve a lifetime achievement award. Without them, I dont thingk dance music would be where it is today. And Neil Tennant . . . what a voice. In one word: Respect. :)
Not really, synth pop with all its great artists and all the other 80s bands that used synthesizers were just one of the many contributing factors to modern electronic music.
There is no better music group then the Pet Shop Boys!
Back then as I was young, I listened to them day and night, they kept me going, they were my life. Today, in my 40s, I stillove them and I still listen to them on a daily basis. Nobody eles could make such good melody music!
I love the PET SHOP BOYS!
"I was faced with the choice at a difficult age..."
Oh, I know. My God, where have all the creative people gone? If someone can write stellar music in their teens through20's, why can't they do it in their 40's when they have all those additional years of wisdom? From Blondie to Culture Club, though, no one really seems to be able to make much of a comeback. I don't understand.
Two things that helped me during the most awful aspect of my life...the Pet Shop Boys and gymnastics. Never underestimate the power of music. I memorised this song when I was given it as a record at age 14. I wanted to marry Chris Lowe!
why dont they maKE A MUSICAL, GAY MUSICAL , I WOULD SAY, WITH THE SPONGS OF PSP, JUST LIKE MAMMA MIA, IT WOULD TURN OUT GREAT AND A REAL SUCCESS , DONT U YHINK.
It certainly is. Although Neil Tenant remarked at the time 'I don't know how Trevor Horn puts his signature production on a song, as at no time did I see him operate any studio equipment'.
I really like the long version of this song. I am a big fan of PSB, but well... this video never did anything for me.
I get the concept, they are on a glass floor with the audience perspective from underneath it. But I don't want Chris doing crotch squats above my head (or whatever he is doing at 1:18). So great song, video is feh.
I really love this video, besides from the outstanding music. I find it highly artistic since it does emphasize on a very special perspective, movements and colors only. I doesn't actually want to make a movie out of the songs meaning, like most music clips do. In terms of estheticism its typically PSB avantgardism - timeless.
I've always loved this band since the 1980's their music is fantastic. But I've only liked a few of their videos. I don't like most of their videos because it's like they weren't even trying. It's like they hired someone to do it for them. They are great at song writing, great at lyric writing, and their style is great, but a lot of their videos I just don't like. I don't want to call them crap, just I don't think they are very good.
shut up it's a good song if you don't like it than don't even think about commenting this video of pet shop boys pet shop boys is my favourite singer and hes good looking so go away who ever you are
