  • my favourite place to go.people so friendly, food brilliant, weather beautiful.enjoyed watching your film

  • -28 and i will live there!!! MALTA I'M COMING!!!!!!

  • i love malt and my mum comes from there

  • Malta is beautiful.I grew up there.I do miss it there. But I can't live there. No matter how much talented you are,it's not how much you know,it who you know. You won't make a living.Sadly it's all about politics

  • More about illegal bird hunting in Malta: birdlifemalta . org

  • Wonderful island & wonderful people..... indeed a lovely place to live/ holiday in :D

...and to those trying to harm Malta and its people.... pls just don't visit/ live in it..

    Cheeerssss!

  • Great video....beautiful place

  • What the fuck?

  • Ma nafx nitkelem Malti. Lol! Misseriah Scocciz, omni Maltija. My spelling's apalling uhx.

  • @Noodles37UK actually ur Maltese was very good, maltese is tough language to read and write

  • @TheBugeja2992 Can pronounce any place name easily and laugh at British tourists who haven't a clue how to say Xewkija haha!

  • Love Malta!!! Happy people!

  • Um....this is the island of sun. But I guess maybe some people are not used to that. And our people our exotic. But I guess there are haters out there that fail to see the beauty in things. An island in the heart of the Medittaranean surrounded by water and good food. The Maltese people are know for their hospitality. Their economy is tourism.

  • @mysocalledlife66 I like it in the winter cos I'm fair skinned and the summer tires me. I like the gold colored buildings on dull days and in the summer there's these amazing purple or red flowers pouring down the walls : )

  • @dtremzo, u sound like the type off person that will feel much more at home in Ibiza you know, common tacky and no class or culture. maltese ppl have always been loverly to me my guess is that YOU were the problem

  • @dtremzo what a bullshit loool

  • yepp..malta for sure is a nice island...full of nature..rounded with beaches....fresh air...perfect for summer :]

  • @hrubylesnov all other countries out there have bird hunting. But it happens far from urban areas, and is less evident. In Malta what ever you do, is immediately in the face of everyone else. Then foreign naturalists come butting in, before solving their own problems in their own country.

From my end, I don't care about hunting, but I still care for the dreams of my people. I live in Malta, and have travelled a lot. But I would never change Malta for anywhere else.

  • this island killed my life...is preety beautyfull but...i hate to live here.

  • @hark020 where do you live ?

  • @hark020 i am maltese and in my opinion i dont like malta ! if you have a talent you have no future ! and many of maltese people has old stupid mentality and they are arrogant . not all of them but many of them !

  • Comment removed

  • I'd like to know some reasons why some ppl pressed 'dislike' . Yes we don't have everything perfect here, but who does? We complain a lot about our Maltese ppl attidute, roads, government and stuff etcc We hardly stop, think and apprciate OUR island.. From what our fathers had to go trough during war time. They fought and loads of people died. Why? cause Malta belongs to US - Maltese citizen. And guess what?? when there's 'Istrina', Puttinu cares', 'Razzet tal-Hbiberija' etc we all contribute

  • If you consider visiting Malta for vavcations, remember the bird killings and other atrocities being performed on this cruel island.

  • @hrubylesnov to all those people who dont know , malta is a free and democratic country, as for bird hunting malta have the laws of other eu states, you said OTHER ATROCITIES, well please say what are these atrocities and most of all proof them

  • @hrubylesnov Are you stupid, they regulate that so much know, were apart of the EU, way to know the facts bud

  • @hrubylesnov bird hunting is finally on it's way to be banned

  • @hrubylesnov harsh

  • very very proud to be maltese, not for an instant i want to live in any other place, here the weather is good,no snow,no volcanoes,no easrthquakes,no poisonous insects, everywhere is so close,if we want to go out,no long journeys, wake up later in the morning just because we don't have long distances, that's how it is life in MALTA,THE ONE AND ONLY MALTA

  • I want to move to Malta someday..

  • It would really be nice if you suggest it to friends

  • il hara fuq il bankina ma jgibuhx uwx?

  • I spent my honeymoon in the Dragonara Palace Hotel in St Julian's Bay. That was in 1974. I bet it has changed a bit since then. Is the hotel still there?

  • @MonAdvExp

    Yes, still there :)

  • @MonAdvExp I was married the same year.

    Do you live in malta???

    My e-mail: george.beotes@web.de

  • @MonAdvExp gosh sure it has changed! like every other place :) I am now living in another country and it kills me not being home!

  • Comment removed

  • @MonAdvExp Yes still there, surely changed though.

  • I´m reading very strange reports about Malta. People there seem to kill birds by the millions, just for the fun of it. Now is that sick or what. Something must be seriously wrong with those people.

  • @hrubylesnov Thi vid is not about killing birds! ok!?!

  • @Mirlo48 No that´s right. This video is about Malta. One of the most miserable countries in the world. And a very cruel and dangerous country for wild birds.

  • @hrubylesnov no that is not! ok I live in malta and all that u are sayin is not truth that is cuz we are small ur sayin this well u need to know we have beautiful places too we do not have problems like other countries like earthquakes etc and etc and it is not truth either that this is a dangerous island for birds I think all countries have their problem at least we do not kill our own ppl and we do not have wors etc we are not like ur are sayin that we are!

  • @Mirlo48 Sure Mirlo. Keep on dreaming.

  • @hrubylesnov LISTEN! U CANT SAY EXCATLY CUZ U ARE NOT MALTESE AND EVEN IF IT WAS TRUTH THAT IS NOT A REASON TO JUDGE BADLY MALTA AND IN MALTA THERE ARE PPL THAT DO LOVE BIRDS AND PETS TELL ME WHERE ARE YOU FROM IS YOUR COUNTRY PERFECT TELL ME THE NAME OF YOUR COUNTRY SO I CAN TELL YOU EVERY PROBLEM IT HAVE!!!! C'MON COWARD

  • @Mirlo48 I´m proud NOT to be a Maltese.

  • @hrubylesnov AND I AM VERY PROUD TO BE MALTESE YOU HAVE NOT TOLD ME WHERE ARE YOU FROM LOL IS YOUR COUNTRY ONE OF THOSE FCKIN UGLY COUNTRIES C'MON TELL ME IDIOT!

  • @hrubylesnov YOU ARE JUST soo jelaos

  • @Mirlo48, All you need to do is click on his user name & you'll see his profile. He's from the Czech Republic & 43 yrs old, also very jealous of us Maltese cause non like us the Czech Republic was a communist country from 1948 till 2003 (55 yrs of misery) which I'm sure at his age he remember's at least more then 30yrs of his life.

  • @hrubylesnov You are so proud of your country that you don't even want to tell..... lol

No wonder why ... lol......Czech Republic .... hahhahahah

  • @geb323 lol czech rep I must be proud of my country and will be for the end of my life! lol czech rep ar ya serious!?! ur are only jelous of us malta is better from czech!

  • @Mirlo48 Apparently the people of Malta are not only cruel but very imbecile too.

  • this video made me so proud to be maltese :D

  • Are there any nightclubs immediately near Valletta/ Floriana? It gets frustrating staying with my Aunt (mil- Belt) Travelling on the buses can be a hassle. Grazzi : )

  • @Noodles37UK there are restaurants and bars, occasionaly there will be a party happening, but Valletta isn't really a clubbing area. You can go down to the waterfront, there are bars there with more of a club feel. Your best bet for clubs is Paceville in St Julians - as you're already in Valletta you can get a bus there in the evening (not that much of a hassle and not a long journey) and then get a Wembley taxi back home (it's very cheap)

  • hi I am a DJ in Malta DJ Ottsel inv on the channel of youtube if you like trance ok o malta is the best place for partytoo

  • @MrRukscar it is a very good nightlife.. look for a tiny town called paceville, around the st. julians area when you get here, you wont be disappointed!

  • awesome

  • Mate.. great job with this vid... you really manage to capture alot of maltese tradition! Im very proud to be a Maltese and to live here!! Although, there's plenty more nightlife than shown here ;)

  • @zijazozzi hey man..im from Croatia and im coming with my friends to Malta this summer..so im wondering if there is a lot of clubs..and is it a good nightlife..sry for bad eng :(

  • Comment about languages, languages are purified by academic elites to justify Nationalist ideologies, genocide, racism, bigotry etc, when in actual fact these standardised languages are really the dialect of the city usually, languages blend into one another through mothers, mixed marriage, trade, slavery etc. Lots of different traders have lived in Malta hence the mixed language spoken there. By the way Eng has a load of Arabic words in it like alchemy, algebra. Humankind is one family don't g

  • By the way, these 5 million birds that are said to be slaughtered are on an island half the size of the Isle of Man with no rivers or mountains for fresh water for all these birds. Most shooting is at Bidnija and the "birds" are clay pigeons!

  • @Hodkovice: the Netherlands have legalised prostitution and drugs( Weed ) Before having a go at the Maltese who only have a population of 400,000 so this statistic that you have stated to me, is complete and utter Bolloaks! ;) Take a look at your own country first !!!!!

  • very nice video and a beautiful country!!!i love Malta,i cant wait be there again!! bews from Romania

  • For those who are thinking of going to Malta for a vacation: Malta kills 5 million migrating birds every year, just for the fun of it. Good reason to reconsider your holiday plans, isn´t it?

  • @hodkovice Look man, you are a benevolant person who cares about little creatures as I do. But I truly, TRULY pin my love of animals upon my Mum who is from Valletta.

The Maltese aren't stereotypically to be cast off as people that are cruel to animals. For a start, they love cats in spite of how local councils say " don't feed them".

I think you have my Mother's islands wrong.

  • @hodkovice no not really? 5 million birds really? 400,000 people live in malta each of us kill 12 really?

  • @Cietru yes Cietru, really. And these are only the official figures. In reality the number of cruelties is probably even higher. You guys out there in Malta need serious counceling for this.

  • @hodkovice im maltese and i am against hunting and their are a lot like me in my country, hunters in malta are a minority, dont put us in the same box but if you think that every year 5 million birds are killed in malta, well or you are missinformed or you are silly, its just impossible.

  • @hodkovice Your obsession with what a select few do wrong here leads me to think you are the one that needs counseling.Hunters here kill birds.Hunters outside malta kill deer, rhinos, elephants, tigers, lions, foxes etc... as well as birds go pick on them for a while

  • @Cietru Sure.. you guys kill birds by the millions.. and now I am the one who needs counseling. Makes sense..

  • @hodkovice 5 million? eh ? now let me think, that is if I can for all the noise of shotguns. So these supermarksmen that hit a bird with every shot will still make a shitload of noise and, well, sorry but I can`t say that I`ve heard this what must surely be like a war zone barrage plus most people in Malta do not own a shotgun.

  • @hodkovice knjv.nl/

  • This is where I'm from!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!

  • hi bella. I´m from a country where wild animals are respected and protected. We are peace loving people who hate cruelties like the bizarre hobbies that apparently are common in uncivilized parts of the world, like Malta.

  • @hodkovice The only uncivilized thing in The Netherlands is legal prostitution.

  • hey hodkovice,

r u english? if so what about your blood sports, like fox hunting. u nitwit. every country in the world unfortunatley have people who entertain themselves by hunting. being bear, deer, birds, u name it. you said we don't deserve tourists money. does your country do? speak out coward. where r u from?

  • For the people who don´t know this yet: Malta is an uncivilized, miserable little country that kills 5 million migrating birds a year, just for the fun of it. If you consider going there for vacation, please reconsider because they don´t deserve your visit or your money.

  • @hodkovice you must be a jewish blood murderer

we hunt birds , you hunt and murder humans. you hunt

poor families steal their assets. we feed-cloth and give

short time accomodation to anyone in need. you jail and

torture innocents, we show them church to thank GOD

you go round the world abducting brave german nazi

who put u in warm shelter so wont freeze in winters. the nazi feed you, kept you warm iin gas chambers

we don't need you blood money, but won't give either

  • @TheMarcel400 hahahaha, all the tension, strain, denial and ill-will behind paradise island finally come out into the open. that doesn't stop malta from being any less beautiful in summer. ;)

  • Ma nafx nitkellem Malti. Omni Maltija mil- Beltu u misseriah Scocciz. hahahaha. Nhob Malta u Ghawdex. Weren't we Byzantine at one point? When?

  • @Kelly14UK You speak neither a Hellenic, nor a Romance language. Maltese is essentially vernacular Arabic in the sense that Urdu is really Hindi and Indonesian is Malaysian.

  • @nactan Probably Phoenecian. But the Arabs were there up to the middle ages. PS omelette is Maltese. It's a saying.

  • @Kelly14UK no it's not, linguists agree that it's siculo-arabic.

i know what omlette is, thx. :P

  • @nactan Just got to be cheeky, haven't you? Shame because you impressed me with your knowledge of languages. Ah well...

  • @Kelly14UK You do believe in fact, right? Google "Maltese – an unusual formula". That's a scholarly article on the origins of the Maltese language. Yes, everyone knows about the connection between the Maltese people and the ancient Phoenicians, but ancestry doesn't dictate language use. Unlike Phoenician and Hebrew, Maltese simply isn't an Canaanite language. It's vocabulary and grammar are easily traceable to Arabic.

  • @nactan Thanks, I'll look it up.

  • do yo guys still speak arabic?

  • @nactan We as Maltese are very proud of having our own language

And we do our best to keep our language alive. But then we are strongly offended

By pickle brains like you that tell us that we speak Arabic. For your information we speak Maltese.

  • @saldar1121 jiddispjaċini, just kidding around. man are u guys easily offended. lol

maltese is closely related to tunisian arabic with a lot of english and italian influences, but fine, call it whatever you want. dunno what's offensive about being reminded that you speak a descendant of vernacular sicilian arabic though.

  • @nactan We as Maltese are very proud of having our own language

And we do our best to keep our language alive. But then we are strongly offended

By pickle brains like you that tell us that we speak Arabic. For your information we speak Maltese.

    "Viva Malta u il-Maltin"

...now does that sound like Arabic to you?

  • @saldar1121 if anything, you should be proud of the achievements of medieval arab civilization and thank the lord that a fraction of the glory rubbed off on you. i'm offended that you're offended at the comparison.

  • @saldar1121 Hey, call him an omelette lol

  • @Kelly14UK Hey, do it yourself. :)

  • @nactan our language is MALTESE . We are proud of our language and our island

but we do speak least 2 languages and most 6

How many languages you speak apart from the non understandable forced on you broken english

  • @TheMarcel400 Meh, so what? I'm still offended by your ungrateful pride. :P

If my English is broken, then what are you, the first ape to master human speech? If you can't understand my English, it's because you don't know the language well enough. Though it has no bearing on the matter whatsoever, I'm fluent in 4 languages and speak several others besides. Neither Arabic nor Maltese are among them. I'm not even from the Arab sphere, if that's what you're thinking.

  • great job with the video...you've managed to capture many beautiful scenes :) I'm maltese and really love to see that others appreciate the island's beauty aswell!

  • MALTA IS AMAZING lol

  • Malta has the best fireworks in the world.

  • @elsquibbs yehh we do m8 thank you very much :D watch some of my vids if you want to see more ;))

  • Since I have posted this message about consistent birds killing in Malta, I am receiving the ugliest hate mails. I must have touched a sensitivity, apparently.

  • Thre agression in the reactions I´m receiving just tells me that I´m right. Malta is a criminal country that kills 5 million migrating birds a year. By the way; I have been there. And I´ll never go back, for obvious reasons.

  • Thre agression in the reactions I´m receiving just tells me that I´m right. Malta is a criminal country that kills 5 million migrating birds a year.

  • Everybody should be aware what a miserable country this is.

  • @hodkovice

Stop bashing Malta. Have you even been there? First of all that website isn't even in English. The country only has a population of 400,000. So to kill 5 million birds a year every man, woman and child would have to kill 12 birds a year. Does that make sense to you? I was in Malta and I didn't see any hunting or gun shops. The only guns I saw were at the National War Museum. I will admit hunting is popular as it is tradition. But it's not as bad as you say. Far from it.

  • Check natuurbericht.nl/?id=4474&cat=vogels if you don´t believe me.

  • Malta is world champion bird killing country.

  • @hodkovice if every person in malta kills a bird it would still be 1/4 of a million.

  • i used to live in Malta for six and a half years and just looking at this video puts me in tears. I love Malta.

  • perfect video man, i loved the soundtrack and Malta is Beautiful

  • So when will this so called paradise island finally stop shooting 5 million migrating birds a year?

  • Malta? That´s the little island that kills 5 million migrating birds every year. No sympathy with them.

  • @hodkovice 5 million?haha we'd have to work pretty hard to kill 5 million

  • i just found out my great great great great grandmother was from malta.

so im a little bit maltese......kind of...

  • Living everyday in Malta doesn't seem special, but when I saw this video it kind of made me feel proud of from where I come from. It doesn't seem much, but it is at the end of the day. We complain a lot about the roads etc, but yeah, we're so negative about this island that we forget to look at its beauty and it's right there in front of our eyes.

  • @MirandaInClouds thats exactly what im thinking after watching this video! i just wish there werent many roads so that nature will take over!

  • I really want to immigrate to Malta.

  • Hi dude. I'm Maltese. Very well done. You did an awesome video :-)
