Personally, because I love being a guest in splendid nature, because I love the rush of adrenaline when a carp takes the bait and the beeper goes wild, because I love the smell of fresh grass in the morning, because I love the sound of the birds in the woods and the wind in the trees. That's why, I guess. And the release, that's the most beautiful part of the whole process. Everyone who seriously fishes knows that feeling. Grts.

in qld australia if u catch a carp you are not allowed to return it back in the water u have to kill it

@gypolike: I'm glad I don't live in Australia ; - ) Here, carp fishermen have special mats and disinfecting products to protect them and to put them back into the water in excellent condition. I guess it's all culture-related!

how many carp did you catch in total and what bait did you use.

I think I caught 8 carp in total. I used a different boilie on each rod. Most carp were caught with strawberry & banana.

6 nights. I believe there were 2 more carp that are not included in this short clip. The two biggest fish were high thirties, never caught before... That was the brilliant thing about it. More important than the weight itself! Grts & thanks for comment.

hmmm the music is ok but its a bit weird. those fish are huge! do you mind if i ask how long you have been fishing carp for?i have just started carp fishing, i havent caugh one yet lol.

I started fishing when I was 8 or 9 years old. My first carp has to be 10 years ago I suppose, when I was 12.

Just keep going! The most important thing: read read read read about equipment, rigs, hooks, ... ! Otherwise, you can start off in the wrong way and then, you're just waiting days and days for nothing to happen ; - )

hahaha no ; - )! This is an unknown lake, with carp that were never caught before. The lake doesn't have a name or reputation. Fishing at Nash lake wouldn't be a 'pioneer' thing, don't you think? I'm not a fan of commercial paylakes, to be honest with you.

It's a private lake, but not a paylake. I had the one time opportunity to fish over there; by pure coincidence. And yes... I prefer to keep this an 'unknown' water so nature (and carp) get the rest they deserve ; - ) Thnx 4 comment!
