Now for the rant, im sure there some competiton problems with the two hotels. (Hilton, Melia) Im sure the idiot gaurd saw you from a distance going in and out of the hotel you were staying at. By the way when I was in Mexico we stayed at an all incusive resort and we never writstbands. You just walked around freely and you would get stuff for free....
exactly.. agreed with what jimster586 said, Mexico=Cheep.. so yeah no big surprise there that the elevators suck prlly all down there do, or maybe not all
I've never seen an elevator re-level with the doors open before. Some elevators have trouble leveling but those are the ones that take forever for the doors to open. This one on the other hand overshoots the landing and then corrects itself after its open!
@jimster586 But this is owned by the multi-million dollar Melia corporation from Spain, the world's 13th biggest hotel chain. They could easily afford to maintain these better.

Shouldn't the Melias be more like the Deadly Melias?

There is a plain Melia in Los Cabos, but a Gran Melia in Cancun?

It's Mexico, so it's no surprise that the elevators suck.

The elevator seemed to travel too fast for its own good.

Sounds and the floor counter seem more like a Schindler, but then again, brands sound different in other clountries anyhow.
