This video is a joke man so don't be all uptight about it. Us EMTs go through a lot and in some cases, forgetting something does happen. The teacher I had back in EMS school, in his entire 43 years. He only had to short board someone twice. As for #2, yep its true. There are some shifts where we get to the ER, clean up and do the run report then get an another call. We just try to have fun! We are serious about our jobs :)

I'll admit getting my Basic cert was difficult as I was having a real hard time understanding the concept off pt assessment. But I needed to pass and get a job to truly understand. I was a basic for 2 years and now I'm an intermediate. I was going to go to paramedic school come February but since its taken me so long to get a job I need more time to gain the exp. So I will go back next fall. Good luck and be safe =D

It was a pain in the ass getting my basic as well. When I took the practical, I aced all of them. Hell my teacher knew that I was a great student but I just suck at tests. To be honest, I think a lot of the questions on the test was just bullshit. Example :what to do if you suspect a suicide attempt isn't really a suicide attempt? Duh, call the cops and try not to disturb anything and remember placement! Good luck to you as well! I plan on going into hazmat at some point =)
