  • What is this song called?

I'd like to look it up on itunes, but i cannot find this song.

    Is it even on itunes?

  • @kenz2246 mineshaft

  • lovely vocals tickles the ear drums, posted on the idea girl says may 14

  • wow, never seen a girl spit like that. Blows Rage out the water. What would you tell a girl like that?

  • It's nice to see a female artist not demeaning herself by rapping/singing about how she can turn around with the dick still inside of her.

  • @Skullz930 thats the best way you could have put that hahahaha

  • @Skullz930 What a sexist thing to say. There are plenty of female artists (in rap and otherwise) who don't sing about sexually demeaning things. In fact, the vast majority of them don't. Dessa's great, but she's far from the only self-respecting female artist out there.

  • @lsd, That's not really a sexist thing to say. Mainstream music has a really nasty way of displaying women. I'm not saying the guy rappers don't help give the women that image but when you rap/sing about sex and boys all the time you look like a slut. And name me 5 living female rappers that give insight rather than dick riding tips. And if you do, i guarantee you they are as underground as Dessa. I'd rather hear words about life from artists rather than sex and partying. That's all.

  • @Skullz930

That's about the most condescending shit I've read in years. Ever hear of a 'whore and madonna' complex? A woman raps about liking to fuck and cats like you claim she's 'demeaning herself', What's up, do you feel demeaned by sex? Or is it just women who should feel demeaned by it? Check Psalm One's track 'Sworn Habit, the classic line 'I'm more talented than whores at handling dick boy', which is fuckin crackin, because she's a powerful, educated female rapper who likes to fuck.

  • @MFCutlass, Ok if you had any sense, you'd know that I was talking about the mainstream female rappers like Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj. And I"m not offended by a woman like Lil Kim's sexuality, I'm repulsed by it. Yeah male rappers rap about sex too (which is dumb) but girls glorifying there sexuality so obsequiously is just adding insult to injury and proves that those girls have nothing to say. This is why I was complimenting Dessa because she's an intelligent and sophisticated artist.

  • @Skullz930

I'd be inclined to agree to a point, Lil Kim et al's overt sexuality doesn't appeal to me, but it takes all sorts. I'm not a fan over fuckcentric lyrics, but I still find the idea you've put forward that these women are 'demeaning' themselves a little preachy. Bear in mind that many devoutly religious people would say the same of those having sex out of wedlock, not to mention those who deem homosexuality worthy of the death sentence; see Islamic law in Saudi.

  • @MFCutlass, Dude, where do you get religion from in this and where the hell did you get homosexuality from this? I"m not being preachy, I'm just saying that I actually have standards unlike a lot of people. You act like that's a bad thing. I'm 19 and I can't find a single women that doesn't have a kid, has her priorities in place, or respects herself. If you want to know why that is, look what women have for role models.

  • @Skullz930

I get religion and homosexuality from this by way of analogy; you say you have standards, you draw the line at a point you deem acceptable, others draw a line where they see fit, ie at executing homosexuals. Your point on role models is spot on though. Don't get me wrong, I agree with you on that. But Lil Kim, Niki Minaj et al are not barefoot and pregnant without a dime in their pockets, don't mix them up with the suckers you're describing. I can't stand them btw, for the record.

  • @MFCutlass, So because these girls have money they're free to do what they want? Regardless if they want to or not, they're role models. All they do is promote sex & dress like sluts for attention. I live & let live but I"m not gonna stifle my beliefs when they make sense. What's going right in this country? We justify everything which is why everyone just does what they want. Is a sycophantic bargain, You can do what you want if you don't make me look like the bad guy.

  • @Skullz930

    It's called liberty.

  • Comment removed

  • @MFCutlass, Yeah and how much liberty do you need? We've accepted everything but murder and people still complain. People just want to do what they want to do and don't want anyone to make them feel bad about it when it effects the people around them. If people were more self-less they wouldn't want to justify all of their faults, they'd want to fix them. That's called taking responsibility for your actions.

  • @Skullz930 that is however a useful skill, but i agreed wholeheartedly

  • amazing harmonies. so much melody in her rhymes even. great video!

  • Think about having some respect.

  • The "hand in the air faux conducting modulates my singing" is a dead giveaway, huh?

  • @GETsomeDRINKS You know! Duude!!...its so true its not even funny,,

  • @GETsomeDRINKS You're assuming a lot by thinking that "this type of intellectual female" would want to "hook up" with you, whether you desired that or not. Stick with "the dumb ones," man.

  • @akinsb11 Women like Dessa were made to make me frustrated....where are these women in real life? ;P

  • @powderdd Educate yourself, become the person you want to be, and you'll find likeminded people of the opposite sex.

  • @ReadBoutGarvey ....wow that was a really pretentious response for such a light hearted comment...

  • @ReadBoutGarvey

Fuck yourself, leave other people be and you'll find people of a wide array of sex's not thinking your a prick, kid. The alternative of irragiting some pseudo-knowledge on the internet is to get an actual life, man. While your at it.. get a girl..

Other than that.. Dessa is awesome.. :D

  • lady's got heat..cant wait to see doomtree at paid dues this year, i hope to see the boy sopranos perform someday!

  • AMAZING!

  • i saw dessa live last night with grieves and pos doomtree is bringing something very new and very ill toip hop in my opinion h

  • This is what authenticity, authentic talent looks like, and is

  • Lost an octave to the Camel Lights.. hear that.

  • Anyone that know where i can find the lyrics?

  • lol

  • It's absolutely refreshing to know shit like this is being created.

    big big b i g!

  • ask anyone who knows anything REAL about hip hop, and they'll say hip hop is a lifestyle. i like the think of rap as what it used to be, Rhythm And Poetry, which is exactly what she was doin. we really gotta call that lil wayne and kanye shit somethin else, cuz it's far from where rap started.

  • "perhaps we should not have encouraged them to use cordless microphones for they have wandered to far from the source and are emitting a lesser frequency" - saul williams - telegraph

  • @muziksmyreligion kanye isn't that bad...the fact that he's popular and his ego is out of control just makes him sucky XD but I agree with you

  • @DontHoldYourChops

yea, kayne isn't the worst one out there, and he does have some pretty ill beats. he just kinda lost sight of hip hop and decided to think he's bigger than hip hop or something. sounds like John Lennon haha

  • That last song was freaking.... i don't even know amazing.

  • she reminds me so much if SLUG!!

  • to all Dessa haters,, open your blind minds eye(s) and ears! this is Original Dessa is a friend of mine and she pushes the envelope rather than being stagnant. this is AMAZING!! much respect Dessa you have so many talents it is unreal!!!

  • hip hop is poetry, this is absolutely poetry

  • That was completely unique and gorgeous....loved it!

  • dessa is a new style of hip hop . if you fags dont like it get the fuck outta here. she mixes up hip hop to different levels you fakes cant grow up to listen too!

  • One of the newest styles of hip hop is getting away from the word "fags." Get ready for the levels, son.

  • @merciless41582 Go kill yourself. Thanks.

  • after u

  • You most be retarded. Her lyrics are great. Her flow is awesome.

But by looking at you channel you seem to know nothing about hiphop/musik..

  • @merciless41582 You really were stupid.. The reason you can't read it might be that it is in a other language..? It's something in Swedish..

  • this is some of the wackest shit I've ever listen to its not hip hop at all

  • @yttrandefriheten I wish I could uprate this comment more than once. Dessa and Doomtree probably singlehandedly restored my love for hip hop in 2009. I have a greater appreciation for spoken word now too, now that I can see its links to skilled MCing--actual storytelling, rather than just spitting disses. Just like the best classic stuff.

  • uhh

    the songs called mineshaft.
