I would have had Guile smash Bison into the Psycho Drive, which would infuse his body with an overload of Psycho Power and seemingly kill him, only for him to rise up as the Bison we know from the SFII games.
Fair enough. But yeah, it would be nice to find another arcade game of this and play it that next time. The only time I ever saw it was at a Six Flags park in 1994 or 1995. It may have even been 1998, but I'm regretting now that I didn't take the opportunity to play it when I saw it.

I don't get mad - I get even! On a serious note, I like that the arcade game has more moves to the characters and more characters, plus the fact that the animation is smoother. It's too bad I only saw the arcade game once and didn't get to play it then. Speed modes don't really count for much with me. The crummy voice acting is the only problem I have with the arcade version - the console versions have better voices, with pehaps the notable exception of Raul Julia's game over shout.
It's not that Ryu should be the main character is that Ryu should have been the co-star. The fued with Bison primarily revolves around Chun Li and Guile for personal reasons. Ryu is just looking for really strong fighters and could care less about Bison.
I think the one problem with this movie besides it's cheesiness is just that Ryu was not a secondary focal point, He was just another cast. Thats why fans dismiss it so easily. But if Bison were lets say searching for Ryu, then ok.
This is american made movie,so people stop asking why is not Ryu the main character (wich should be)...Great Game Story,Bad movie application, but still awesome to see Street fighter characters in a movie like this...

I don't get mad - I get even! On a serious note, I like that the arcade game has more moves to the characters and more characters, plus the fact that the animation is smoother. It's too bad I only saw the arcade game once and didn't get to play it then. Speed modes don't really count for much with me. The crummy voice acting is the only problem I have with the arcade version - the console versions have better voices, with pehaps the notable exception of Raul Julia's game over shout.

It's not that Ryu should be the main character is that Ryu should have been the co-star. The fued with Bison primarily revolves around Chun Li and Guile for personal reasons. Ryu is just looking for really strong fighters and could care less about Bison.
I think the one problem with this movie besides it's cheesiness is just that Ryu was not a secondary focal point, He was just another cast. Thats why fans dismiss it so easily. But if Bison were lets say searching for Ryu, then ok.

Well, in the SF canonical series, Ryu never killed Bison, Ryu barely knows him. And JFYI, Ryu did not win any more tournaments since SF1.
SF1: Ryu.
SF2: Unknown (probably Guile, Gouki finished Bison).

The Psycho Drive made Shin Bison even more powerful, yes, but he was already stronger than his SFII self before the Psycho Drive. I look for people who can teach me a thing or two, so I've never been afraid of going against people who have 20+ years of fighting or turn out to be 6'6'' 350lbs. And he has such a strong grasp of his fighting philosophy that psychic probing wouldn't work against him. Heck, even a weakened Ryu managed to overcome his own brainwashing, and Ryu is leagues behind Gouki.

The Street Fighter characters reflect heroes who have existed in real life that were heroes and villains before our time, during our time and after our time.
