Too bad this song was before the era of concept videos. Little Jimmy Dickens' humor would have been award-winning. And then Kanye West would have interrupted him! LOL
He was trully great and last year i ran into some 16-19 year old playing it at the park. I told them i thought they were a little young for that music lol
@lovely4417 I'm sorry to hear that, lovely4417. You have my sympathies. If he was part of Jim's troupe, he had to be a good man in addition to a good picker. Jim's uncle married my mother's sister, and Mom grew up with Jim. He's such a wonderful, sweet, witty man.
@lovely4417 At 1:00, your Grandpa's hands reminded me of my younger brother's hands (my brother also plays guitar beautifully) and at 1:25, your Grandpa looks just like my Dad, who has also passed on. Funny, cute song, and bitter-sweet reminders. :)

I'm 103 years old and remember my grandson's reaction when he first heard this song. He laughed himself to sleep that night.

Little Jimmy Dickens was the first live band I ever saw.
1965 (maybe '66) at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas.
My dad had this record and I played it as much as The Beatles!
