  • Little Jimmy Dickens was the first live band I ever saw.

1965 (maybe '66) at the Astrodome in Houston, Texas.

My dad had this record and I played it as much as The Beatles!

  • I'm a 28 yr old City Boy and I gotta say that this is an AWESOME Country Music Song! :)

  • If little Jimmy Dickens passed away back then ^^ not a lot of people would be surprised, but he's still kicking at 90! And lively as ever haha!

  • im only 17 and the guy on rhythm guitar is my grandpa rest in peace

  • @lovely4417 I'm sorry to hear that, lovely4417. You have my sympathies. If he was part of Jim's troupe, he had to be a good man in addition to a good picker. Jim's uncle married my mother's sister, and Mom grew up with Jim. He's such a wonderful, sweet, witty man.

  • @lovely4417 At 1:00, your Grandpa's hands reminded me of my younger brother's hands (my brother also plays guitar beautifully) and at 1:25, your Grandpa looks just like my Dad, who has also passed on. Funny, cute song, and bitter-sweet reminders. :)

  • the guitar is bigger than he is!!!

  • I love this song, and I'm only 27 years old. This song is probably one of the funniest sngs I've ever heard! Thanks for posting this.....
