The reason why the beta version wasn't released is because it had to many relations with 9/11, one Darkel's missions were terrorist missions and two the police cars were just like the ones in Manhatan at the time. Another reason there was school buses wich you were able to blow up. They should've released the beta version, it's no dought better then what they released.

Darkel is the reason why Donald Love vanishes near the end of the game. There's a rumour about a mission in concept wear you have to fly a dodo into the Love-media building but after the 9/11 attacks they replaced Darkel with rampages and made the Dodo (almost) hard to fly.

Theres a mod to open up the tunnel, and when you get to the other town, you can 1 climb up to the observatory via a small road 2 see bank you rob 3 enter the "Ghost Park", a small area of the woods with a giant sign that says ghost park, and 4 see the civilians that dont bleed when killed. When you shoot one of the civilians that are on the sidewalks around that area, they dont bleed, and they dont run away.

If they had left the World Trade Center alone they wouldnt have only saved lives, and made the world a lot less fucked up about terrorism, but they also would have let R* finish GTA 3 as it was supposed to be. Please rockstar, finish this masterpiece, as I personally think, that GTA 3 has a lot more potential, and it is noticeable that it was a rushjob ;)

Most of them (exept for a 9/11 like missin where you would fly a plane into a building) were just given to other characters. We're not missing too much other than the character himself.

9/11 really killed this game in a way. I wonder how much more was left out of GTA III that we dont know about because of 9/11. I wish Rockstar would have taken a chance and left that content in

I would love a peek at the original PS2 version of GTA3, because there are a lot of missions where Claude is basically a terrorist. One of the reasons why they cut Darkel out.
Allegedly you had to crash a plane onto Donald Love's tower block. Don't know why for sure. It'd explain why he disappears with no reason.

This are the mission I know from Darkel.
1. To blow up a schoolbus full of highscholers.
2. To lure kids to an Ice Cream van and then blow it up.
3. To blow up a highschool building.
4. To bomb the stadium on Staunton Island because Darkel's favourite football club has lost a game.
5. To bomb the airport.
6. To ram a plane into Love Media so that Donald Love would be killed. This mission is called Love Hurts.
And in one of Curtly's missions you have to kill Darkel.

beta version was the same as that but it had some stuff more that been cut in the final stage of the game,cause the dvd or cd they used back in 2001 couldnt store all of the data files.according to what i read the closed tunnel was originaly lead to another mini town of the map like the other 3 which there was the bank shown in the final cutscene.also darkel was putted to give killing rampage missions.there would be fully designed building adn you could fly the doto and use it to kill D.love.

in Shoreside Vale (the third part of the whole city) there's a closed tunnel, where you can't enter normally.

or else whty do they used a part of townthat does not excist, or why did they left a cliff as a border instead of sea,and why they created a closed tunnel???
alsoif you could fly the dodo there gotta be something inthe other side of the cliff instad of cut out graphics.propably another townincluding the bank road in the intro;)

That is whats there! as well as a GTA SA like woods. Theres a mod to open up the tunnel, and when you get to the other town, you can 1 climb up to the observatory via a small road 2 see bank you rob 3 enter the "Ghost Park", a small area of the woods with a giant sign that says ghost park, and 4 see the civilians that dont bleed when killed. When you shoot one of the civilians that are on the sidewalks around that area, they dont bleed, and they dont run away.

Fucking terrorists. If they had left the World Trade Center alone they wouldnt have only saved lives, and made the world a lot less fucked up about terrorism, but they also would have let R* finish GTA 3 as it was supposed to be. Please rockstar, finish this masterpiece, as I personally think, that GTA 3 has a lot more potential, and it is noticeable that it was a rushjob ;)
