when this game was made, people thought that the gyroball was a backup slider, which did not drop but did cut. the real gyroball is nothing like this.

correct. the pitch's lateral movement is between a cutter and a slider but seems like it floats

The balls arent smaller in japan.... there just made out of a different material. This makes it harder/easier to throw certain pitches for some ppl. (dice-k found it trickier to throw his slider but he got more bite on his change)...just thought id let you know..

hey, stuntsnap. I heard on this game, some of the players go by different names. Here, it's from Wikipedia:

Matsuzaka is really "Tait Baik"

Brendan Donnelly is really "Vince Stewart"

Kevin Millar is really "Ivan Jiminez"

Barry Bonds is really "Reggie Stocker"

It's stupid. I'm waiting 'til 08 comes out, so DiceK and the others have correct info.

Bonds, Millar, Donnelly, Damian Miller and others will never have correct info, because they are not part of the Players' Union. (Millar et al were replacement players in the last strike, and Bonds left the Union a few years back)
