When did running on the vocal scale define singing? Runs are meant to express emotion but it seems that all these new singers sound alike they start of singing and end yelling. Singing is pure voice not vocal acrobatics, way over done they sounded so pretty in the beginning but all that running and screaming not very impressive at all. That's why they aren't on the charts they all sound alike you can't tell any of them apart all that damn screaming.......lmao

The runs don't define the music, but it shows the vocal ability of a singer and makes a song more interesting. Singing straight shows nothing bc anyone can do that. Most black people raised in the church can identify w/ this type of singing so it's all matter of opinion

For example, that note she tried to hit @2:02 cracked, and 3:09-3:19 was VERY flat. Just do YOU India and give us that low, sultry tone we love! :)
