What? Are they barbarians (which is the word I believe you were looking for) for holding on to the traditions of their culture (An admirable feat which most cultures in our modern Western society (Yes, the US included) have failed to do.
Man, I'm only 17, but I think you need to re-evaluate your ideas of what constitutes barbarism.
