In reality, the ViodooDNA and the Envy apparently failed, the Omen never launched, and now HP seems to be killing Voodoo altogether.

Voodoo PC is dead. HP acquired them and killed them. When they were independent they had a wide variety of cool computers like the Omen, the fanless Eden, the micro sized doll, the mid range Fury, etc. Now they've been reduced to the firebird and envy which are no longer even for sale.

Do not buy Voodoo. Back a few years ago I bought an Envy Laptop from them and had problems with it from the start. Returned it for repair and it took them over a month and hours on the phone to get it back to me. Worst support ever. If you don't believe me go read all the web blogs about the pissed off people who have dealt with this company. I spent over 6k on my machine and it was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made. Do yourself a favor and RESEARCH them before you buy!

I forgot to add that when I did get the laptop back from repair it was extremely slow. Found out that the way they tried to address my issue was by severely underclocking my processor. So in other words they kept it for over a month to do something in BIOS that I could have done in a matter of seconds and still did not fix the problems. Thanks Voodoo. I have an idea for a new name for your company...Voodont. That seems more fitting.

The Omen's case doesn't look that bad and it's more functional, but I still love the old look. Cool, gothic and unconventional all at the same time.

THis thing is going to start at $7,000, most of the price is the case, not the specs. I think I'd rather get a faster PC that rather than a weaker PC that's just stays at a cooler temp.

Ok, I take back everything I said below. I've done some digging (lots of stuff on the Envy website, developers forum, and Rahul's personal blog) and I'm totally sold on the Envy now. It's awesome on multiple levels. Apologies if I sounded harsh below. I rushed to judgement on this one video, which I shouldn't have done.

Rahul is a shit salesman. Too many sale buzzwords, not enough elaboration on what actually makes the tech worth paying for besides aesthetics. Get serious. I was really keen on the voodoo until this vid, and now I'm not so sure. There's something unprofessional behind that veneer of sleekness. What is support like? Reliability etc? This thing needs more than hype. I'm considering a thinkpad, Air, and the Envy. I really LIKE the Envy, but I'd like more assurance that its smooth performance wise.

gosh why are there so many people saying this, I don't see any problem, he talks about all the features and how it works, the laptop seems much better than the MAC Air, and it has a cheaper lauch price, the IOS looks amazing, sure no MAC OSX but seriously I don't car, if you already have a MAC you can get OSX on any PC if you know what you're doing... and don't tell me it's not the same, it is not in terms of how they build it, because hardware since intel is the same.
