  • But,I wanted the partitures,in te wed side has got a partiture of Tetris,Mortal Kombat...?

  • Me and 2 buddies are gonna try and play this on Baritones, and maybe the band director will even let us play it at a game :D

We also wanna see if we can get someone to record this for us.

  • I think the Trombone 2 part would sound more like the original song if it were an octave higher from 0:21 - 0:33. It's definately playable.

  • one question....have you even thought about technicality for a trombonist? Because some of these are highly challenging, unless playing on a valve trombone, and also are all of them at the tempo you are having them played at?

  • Sorry...Lemme go change my pants.

  • nice

  • Just to let you know, if you try to print it, you can save it to Microsoft OneNote, which will then allow you to save it as a PDF.

  • if i had a mac and wanted to print it would yoube able to ?

  • @landronics yea

  • when i was i playin this on piano it didnt start on g it started on A natural and it all revolved around the a

  • whats the key and time sig

  • *Clears throat*

    Mortal Kombat!!!

  • I really would scream ''MORTAL KOMBAT!!'' but its 1:10 A.M. Over here :)

  • Flawless victory. NSZachP wins all.

  • MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

  • peice of crap

  • what key is this in?

  • @pizzathehut0331 for the first trombone part at the very beginning it looks like its just in the key of C. but then once the third part comes in at about 14 seconds in it switches to the key of Bb. but im guessing that since the riff in the first part at 14 seconds is the same as it is at the beginning of the song its probably Bb the whole song.

so to be clear. its the key of Bb and there is no key change.

  • oof horrible beaming/dotting. that's preposterous to read

  • can i ask something?? how can i download it ??? not like a video...!! i woul'd like to play it...!! :)

  • I have a trombone, but I can't imagine playing that fast lol

  • dude I love you!

  • I love this song! It's freaking awesome, a very accurate arrangement of the Mortal Kombat theme. I brought this into band class and started playing it, now my whole section is trying to learn it haha. Who knows, maybe I can get our director interested in playing it. Just wanted to say thanks for writing this and making it free.

  • perfect i have 2 friends who play trombone to. YES!! so epic

  • easy.... :D(no)

  • What's the tempo for this?

  • nice

  • would be a funny ass band song MORTAL COMBAT other band would be like wtf

  • @Roguesaxophone57 is a K not c its spelled Kombat on the box

  • coooool

  • epic i put this in my box

  • and who can play this? :D

  • @cocacraesh i can play this and im in my 2nd year

  • yo can you get it for sax or tuba

  • @jlong27577 for saxaphone just add on three sharps and boom you got it

  • OMG this was awesome

  • that was tight

  • what key is it in?

  • Hey please convert into PDF file I don't know how to read those MUS files

  • This is like, impossible to play especially the continuious semiquavers...

  • so good

  • is there one for clarinet if so please tell me :)

  • damn. id love to see a professional trombone trio do this

  • im having trouble opening this on finale. could someone give me instructions plz?

  • MORTAL KOMBAT!!!!!

  • Great we might play this next year.

  • my mouth was drop the whole damn thing man!

  • at least its not as insane as flight of the bumble bee for trombone. xD

  • my trombone sectio is playing this.. it is pretty difficult... 3rd part I play 1st on this and it's not to bad..

    Good song though..

  • What software do you use for the arrangement video ?

  • is their anyway to download this and print it without getting finale notepad

  • download finale reader its free

  • thats freakin crazy

  • is trombone concert pitch?

  • Yes, it is.

  • @NSZachP it actually reads concert pitch, but the instrument itself is in Bb

  • @NSZachP Can You arrange a trumpet/trombone piece of this with 1st and 2nd parts? I would like my marching band to play this next year as a stand tune.

  • BRUTALITY on that high G! Nice, i should totally look this up

  • Including Since it would be almost Impossible for a Bass to Jump up that high just to hit it

  • I can :P

  • you really don't understand the terminology of "Almost Impossible" do you?

  • I'm not brilliant, I could do that --> it's not almost impossible.

  • What I am trying to say is that the Bass Trombone parts don't make those transitions as easy as Tenor & that there should be some Chord Representation between the parts.

  • Okies then =P

  • @Hellfire918 that's not even close to impossible. ollege level players can handle that music.

  • I'm in 8th grade and i can play it :P

  • @pwnzersyou123 what, the easiest part?

  • probley the 2nd trombone part :P the third is a pain even double tounging :P

  • @pwnzersyou123 1st parts easy

  • @pwnzersyou123 Can you play the double tongueing cleanly?

  • @WrightTenorBone half way throught his song it gets a little blurred but thats casue my tounge gets tired :P

  • Anvil Studio!

  • its a lot easier just to do a few clcicks than copy the music on paper and the write it in finale print. and i wanted the baritone version, and i dont know how to do that on the program.

  • you can play this version for baritone too. i played it with 2 trombones and a baritone.

  • how do you download this song to SAVE it?

  • the tetris theme too plz

  • can u change the song to euphonium t.c. trio plz? i want to learn it.

  • if you want to change it to treble clef just add a 2 notes up in your own

  • u mean 5 notes down lol

  • Or better yet, they should learn how to just read Treble Clef. It's easy to learn (but I'll admit, I still have trouble reading it as fluently) and when you do learn it, so much new music is opened up to you.

  • this looks exactly like the one I made

I also have Finale and you must have used the same midi file as I did

  • can u make this a pdf ????

  • See first couple seconds of video. Annotations added.

  • @NSZachP There are free "print to pdf" programs you could use. Though, I also highly recommending downloading Finale Notepad if you're interested in sheet music.

  • what is this sotware?

  • What is the software that your using?

  • Go to the right of the video...

Click on the "More Info" link...

    Scroll to the bottom...

    Look for big BLOCK text.

  • See first couple seconds of video. Annotations added.

  • Awesome work on this! Me and 2 other guys performed this and it sounds great! very playable and well notated. (also, i played first, but i did have fun double tounging where third part enters lol)

  • how long have you benn playing?

  • awesome at 0:46 is awesome

  • what were the A looking things? (im not idiot ive been on baritone for 2 and half years)

  • You mean the Marcato markings? 2nd part, when it first comes in?

Pretty much is a cross between accented and staccato. Heavy, yet separated.

  • lol i didnt know marcatto look like that my director just says put a m over notes if we need to play them marcatto

  • the mountain looking things are called something technical but irefer to them as power acciendents

  • You mean power 'accents', not 'accidents'.

And no, they aren't called power accents. They are called Marcato.

  • another way to say them is housetop accents

  • amazing! i can only play the 3rd and second part

  • At 0:33, the first part is very short and choppy.

May I suggest elongating the 16th note that comes before the rest by making it an 8th note?

  • no way not going to be possible with mounthing and everything not possible

  • why didn't you make those triplets ?

  • I'm sorry... where? There's some spots that needed to be written as is instead of triplets, while there are some other iffy spots.

A 'm:ss:' time would be helpful.

  • anytime you have the dotted eighth, dotted eighth, eighth. you could just make them 3 quarter note triplets. Or if you changed it to match the song it would be dotted eighth, sixteenth tied to eighth, eighth, eighth rest, eighth eighth eighth. This is in the second part. At 0:22

  • Yeah, that's what I thought you were talking about.

I meant for it to be the way it is. Dotted eighth, dotted eighth eighth is the way it's supposed to be. Which, incidentally is the same as dotted eighth, sixteenth tied to eighth, eighth.

As for the eighth rest, eighth eighth eighth, I felt that the first eighth sounded better if it was longer. As such, I have it as a sixteenth rest, dotted eighth (or sixteenth tied to eighth), eighth eighth.

Man, eighth is hard to spell many times over. :P

  • I smiled upon seeing this. :)

  • pleeease can you upload a pdf score !!

    Thanks!

    ^^

  • How do you make a video of your finale playing? I'd love to post what I've arranged and written in finale now that I've seen this.

  • beautiful

  • how do you get the sheet music? i cant get it

  • can you get the pdf file in the link?

  • Mylord is a proffesional

  • thixs is trombone right?

  • yeh

  • Your notation is a bit sketchy. Two dotted eighth notes together is hard for most people to read. Break up your notes into each beat. It's much easier to read...

  • lol. Might try recording this with some other trombonists.

  • YOU ARE THE BEST

  • you are such a fucking baller!

  • omg i know you!

  • IM IN LOVE WITH YOU

  • this is sweet...too bad i havent learned all of the high notes i might try this in a few months when ive learned enough lol

  • sounds great

  • i tryed to download the sheet music but its an unrecognised file type. what program will open it?

  • Looking at other comments, I'm betting its a .mus file, which means only the program Final can open/read it.

  • Editing, the program Finale

  • Pretty much hit it on the head.

The best quality file in my opinion to edit with is the .MUS file type, which is used by the Finale line of products. The cheapest editor is NotePad, for about $10. There's also a free .MUS file READER, not editor.

I now use the Finale PrintMusic program, which cost me $90.

I also hosted out there the .MID files for those who prefer not using Finale. Many other programs will allow you to edit music from a .MID file.

  • yea this looks fun..

  • I know you are probably annoyed by all the questions but where can you download the program to read the sheet music files

  • Jesus. That... Looks very fun.

  • try slowing it down, then it might sound more like the orginial

  • how do you open it? it's in .mus format?

  • if only i could play sixteenth notes that fast then i could play it..... that's pretty hard core though. i'm diggin it man

  • me too

  • lol i just want part 1 and lol part 3 has G! 1st position people!

  • THIS IS AWESOME...MORTAL AWESOME!!!

  • Dude thats so Epic, Thx alot

  • sweet

  • can u send that 2 me

  • Look at video description. Click hyperlink at very top. Download from there.

Like I said, I'm NOT 'sending' it to anyone. You want it, take the initiative to download it yourself. And try reading next time.

  • Nice would this also work for baritone( Tuba) it is also bass clef

  • this is awesome!!! did u make this yourself?

  • I made it, yes... but with an almost direct reference to a MIDI file of the song. I just transposed it and made a shorter version of the full song for the Trombone Trio. That's about it.

  • wow thats cool! im still a newb when it comes to playing trombone. ive only been playing for like 6 months. i asked my band teacher and she said yes to our trombone section to do the super mario trio. so thanks for making these vids man!

    keep up the awesome work!!

  • you should ask zoot69 to play this

  • lol

  • trombone is bass clef. it cant do treble clef or melody parts. they should be at the bass clef. but i guess. i would like you to show me you on the trombone playing it. just to see how it goes.

  • A) First of all, I don't know where you are coming from about the Treble Clef... as far as I know, I never mentioned it.

    B) This song IS in bass clef, so there's no problem there.

    C) Why can't trombones have melody parts? The melody doesn't always have to be in a higher clef or for higher instruments. Plenty of times trombones play the melody.

    D) I'm working on a video of myself playing... I'm still practicing, and trying to get my tone back on my newly purchased Bach 42BO. May be a while.

  • Hey, first thing, wanted to let you know that i love your trombone trios. I downloaded a bunch of em for finale and printed them out for me and my friends. We sight read this and Tetris, then tried to play it the next day by memory and failed horribly. In a few months we will be playing your trios as a video game themed ensemble for our ensemble recital. If i can, i will record it and post it here for you.

  • Thanks. =) I'll look forward to it. =)

  • key signature?

  • common time

  • Its in Key of B flat.

He was talking about Key Signature, not Time Signature.

  • trigger trombone helps =] ill try playing the intro XD

  • yeah i have the actual finale program i bought and when i watched this i was inspired to arg a tenor Sax trio for it. ill send it to you when im done

    p.s. ive been playing 13 year's

  • i love how it starts, brings back memories....

  • wow how long have u been playing trombone thats some mad skills

  • I've only been playing for about... 7 or 8 years (since 5th Grade).

I'm still working on getting this song down myself. =P I can get the fast part easy on my Baritone, but it is a bit trickier for me with my slide.

  • can anybody tell me how to print the individual parts seperatly

  • Under the file menu of pretty much any Finale program (as far as I know), there should be an option to "Extract Parts". That's what you will want.

  • i mean "their" part, excuse my bad grammer, lol

  • i can play the whole song on the trombone and ill try to post a video of me playing it ASAP

    PS. Bruce-Lee is the best

  • nice composition but damn, those sixteenths starting in the fifth measure are rediculous. You'd have to be a double-tonguing freak to hit those perfect.

  • Yep, either that or learn how to effectively alternate back and forth between the 2nd and 3rd trombone parts. =P

3rd taking the downbeats, 2nd taking the upbeats or something like that.

  • not really cuz i can play it and ive only been in band for 1 year

  • u dont have to be a tonguing freak to play those sixthteen notes

  • Well, you may not have to be, but it could be a touch tiring for some, if not many trombonists.

  • i agree- it took me a while to master this song

  • Well... we'll see how you "mastered" it when you host the video. =P I have my doubts you "mastered" it while only being in band for 1 year.

  • Lol- you'll see- im just waiting for my other 2 friends to master there part before we play the trio,e.t.c.

  • yah jus wait until i master my part.

Raven you did not master it!!

    s2pid.

  • who the heck is Raven?!? cuz im definetly not raven- my real name is Ryu, lol

  • It's probably okay to take it a little slower than than it was in the video... I noticed the actual song at the end was slower.

Good arrangements you've made though. It'll be something to brake the monotony. I'm gonna try to record all the parts myself. Not gonna post it though, hehe.

  • hey...do you have this for anything else? like....a different program?

  • Unfortunately, no. I don't know of any other programs similar to Finale at the moment, at least that I know of that are free.

I can't really buy anything new right now, as I'm saving up for a new trombone.

  • kk, ty any ways

  • Noteworthy composer, the free trial seems to never end.

It's not very good but it gets the job done.

  • ty, ill look for it on google

or do you know where to find it?

  • ...it wont work...hmmmm

  • ok this is the rawest thing i ever seen and played imma take this to a compittion big ups

  • thank you so much for your uploads. you truly should get a award for making stuff like this.

  • Thanks. =)

I felt like I was in a similar boat as y'all, not being able to find Trombone pieces for my favorite video game songs. Fortunately, I've become handy with the Finale Series, so I wanted to help end the drought. =)

  • the notes sound low for being that high on a scale i dont think any1 like me would be able to play a high note like that!

  • trop bien

  • thanks for that, i try imediately on my Tuba!

  • Hey(dont yell at me if the question has been asked before or if you mentioned it in the discription)

But i know the Key is rather funky but did you think of adding acidentals to note so it sounded less funky?
