@1imesub I never said anything about factory farming, let alone it being natural. Hell, you didn't even say anything factory farming. What are you talking about? lol
Most times when someone is insanely optomistic about anything, be it the Vegancult diet, political parties, actors, politicians...etc, etc, they have become an ideologue on the subject. You cannot talk sense to ideologues, waste of time. Just watch Msnbc and you will see them all day, same thing with followers of the Vegancult diet.
The factory farms are bad, but Big Agro isn't any better, annihilating the local wildlife and spraying monocrops with fossil fuels. We need regional organic produce and grass-fed livestock (remember, 2/3 of the land can't grow crops).
@TreachMarkets well that is atleast the one inteligent thing i saw on here im glad your atleast thinking with your head me and my dad have a small ranch i hope to one day not only raise cattle but also raise crops remember not all farms are bad cause there big if we all want a change we just have to watch what kind of food we buy like for instance its expensive but try buying local its rough but the more the small organic farms can profit the more the prices will drop

It is important to maintain a healthy nervous system. I believe lack of b12 can result in anaemia. If you want to get it from something natural b12 is in nori and some other seaweeds although I don't know how significant the amount is, otherwise I THINK the only way you can get a significant amount is in fortified products
B 12 is in meat, fish, eggs, milk but for vegans its best to take a vegan multivitamin. Personally I use fortified soya milk because I find its an easy thing to include in my diet (even if I can't drink the stuff by itself!)
I have always been told seaweed has b12 but I think it is not a significant source.
I've heard from a number of sources that fish contains enough mercury that, if a pregnant woman ate it 3 times a week, her child will have a cognative disorder.
You can get Omega 3 FAs from other sources (flax seed, hemp seed, walnuts, and leafy greens rather than fish.
B12 can also be found in sweet potatoes. As well, as long as you have all the necessary nutrients, your body can produce some of it.
@binklesworth Not sure about your stat regarding pregnant women, but in any case I agree that anyone - pregnant or not - is better off avoiding fish for health reasons, if they aren't willing to do it for moral reasons. As for omega-3s, all the food sources you've listed are excellent. However, you're wrong about B12: the only reliable sources of B12 in a vegan diet are fortified foods (such as some cereals, soy products, nutritional yeast flakes, etc.) and supplements.
What is unhealthy about being pale? I was born pale by race/genetics, and I've always been very healthy and athletic. I've been vegan for 2 years now and my health improved even more. It's very annoying to me when people say "oh you're so pale, is that because you're vegan?" ...because they used to comment on my fair skin while I was eating burgers every day, but now it just HAS to be because I'm vegan.. *sarcasm*
There is no magical mystery nutrient in meat that doesn't exist in vegan food.
@Vegannibal Another thing people need to keep in mind is that vegans, on average, tend to wear less makeup, and in a lot of cases none at all. I guess because we tend to care more about being "natural", going organic, and health in general (again, on average). I look like a normal person, without brightly colored eyelids and dark red lips. When I'm tired, it shows (undereye circles, etc.). Most people who look rosy and bright all the time are covering their faces with beauty products. :)
@boodleboy It matters not to that animal, but to you and the animals still alive. If you are grateful for one animal kept in a factory so it can't move and injected with hormones and somehow still find that palatable, you are likely to continue being ignorant, which will cause more suffering and the decline of the environment and your health.
"So... Initially, vegan was supposed to be übergood for ya, but now the argument is "it`s good for the earth". "
Any argument is good one if it forwards their agenda...These Vegans are defective people who are suffering from eating disorders and social issues...Many groups of people go to great lengths to justify their lifestyles and make them seem normal, or acceptable...Mankind has never been strictly vegetarian it is not his nature...Thats why they look sickly and pale..
Sorry, but everytime when I read something like "...not his nature", "unnatural"... I have to laugh. Even if it's "unnatural", it wouldn't be a good reason not to do it, eh? Humankind isn't supposed to fly, to smoke, to move faster than 36 km/h... but we do it. Just think about how your life would be, without this many "unnatural" things :P
"Humankind isn't supposed to fly, to smoke, to move faster than 36 km/h... but we do it. Just think about how your life would be, without this many "unnatural" things :P "
How would our lives be without doing unatural things?...Well...It would be as it was for 100,000 years wouldn't it?...in perfect balnce with nature...The unnatural things we do have caused many unattractive problems to surface in the last 200 years havent they?..Global pollution, and warming..Overpopulation, and famine.
"I think one good way to help this planet, is to become vegetarian/vegan"
I think a slight population reduction would be better for the planet than any lifestyle changes...Lets cull the herd just a bit....say...oh...by 50% ..nothing radical. ..starting with the sickly and unproductives...vegans appear to excellent candidates for extermination...Pale, sickly creatures with little or no muscle tone and political agendas..Thats where nature would start its selective process...maybe we should too
To reduce the population by half would be pointless, probably in 50 years population would be the same, and we will have the problem all over again. :P
Oh, while we're at stereotype blabla, your destructive way of thinking seems to be rooted in a bad childhood or dissatisfaction about your life or whatever... be careful, not that you get suicidal thoughts. Get help before it's too late ^^
"To reduce the population by half would be pointless, probably in 50 years population would be the same, and we will have the problem all over again"
Not neccesarily....The current eugenics programs of CODEX will keep the population in a state of stagnation for many generations...That and eliminating the childish belief in God and organized Religion will insure the healthy survival of our species for eternity, barring any extinction events....
I think there is nothing at the moment which could stop people all over the world from reproducing (the acts involved are just too much fun XD ). The same with the belief in god (allthough I think there are not so many acts involved which make a lot of fun :P). But as long as it is a "childish" and not a "fanatic" belief, I don't care.
I am not so sure about your claims you twat! I am sure that there are a lot more unhealthy meat eaters than there are unhealthy vegans / vegetarians....more and more there is scientific proof of how meat is not really as good for humans as once thought...
"I am sure that there are a lot more unhealthy meat eaters than there are unhealthy vegans / vegetarians"
Is that why Vegans look so frail and sickly?....Is that why so many professional athletes are living the Vegan lifestyle ? (sarcasm) Pale complection must be a symptom of physical fitness...I would rather continue to be unhealthy if that is the case...
Please educate yourself, I know a lot of vegans and most look very healthy, it is obvious that some may not be following the right nutrition and therfore may look "frail". I also know meat eaters and some also look very unhealthy because they are not eating right. it has all to do with eating the right nutrients. it has been more than proven that a vegetarian diet is better for humans than one that contains meat, unfortunately it has been embedded in human minds that "We must eat meat"!

"Please educate yourself, I know a lot of vegans and most look very healthy"
Oh really?..that appears to be completely false...The picture most people will identify with Vegans are people like Moby and others here on YT making videos of themselves...the vast majority (all that I have seen)...are frail people with a plae complection...they also seem to exhibit certain social quirks...Nice try to further your propaganda..but I am not buying it...If it looks sickly..chances are it is
Everyone i have ever known has looked within themselves for meaning and purpose of life...some have made the mistake of looking to others to define such things for them....I have simply found my purpose...My calling....That calling is reduce the number of worthless, selfish, and destructive people who are currently destroying this planet...and the quality of life for those who not only reap, but actually sow for us all.....Egotistical?...Not at all....Activist?...Yes.
@timetodepop If I were to say to you, look at how fat meat-eaters are, you would rightly point out that if people eat meat (and other foods) in moderation they will not look like that. Similarly, people who eat healthy vegan diets look and feel fantastic; don't point to someone who does it wrong and say the rest of us are like this as well. Going vegan was the best thing I ever did for my health; I look and feel better than ever.
Also, many athletes DO go vegan for enhanced performance, etc.
Kimberly...Since posting the comment you replied to, I have chosen to limit my meat consumption to fish meals 3 times per week....I do this for the health...I have no political motives...
@timetodepop Well, you're doing a lot better than most people then! Good for you... You say you have no political motives, so I take it that means you're not moved by compassion for the animals, so I guess telling you the fish you eat suffer wouldn't mean anything to you. However, since you are motivated by health reasons, have you considered plant sources of omega-3s, as opposed to fish? Fish contains mercury, PCBs, etc. I get my omega-3s from flax, hemp nut, walnuts, etc. :)
Well....I must say that I am somewhat ignorant to plant forms of omega 3, 6 or 9...I would explore the benefits of such things due to the potential of high toxicity contained in most fish oils..I speak of PCBs of course...Mercury is also a hazard a destroyer of mental capacity.
@timetodepop Well, the sources I mentioned are good, and I thought I'd mention that last time my partner and I were doing groceries, we noticed that there's a Silk soy milk out now that comes with DHA (one of the omega 3s), from microalgae. So there's one more easy way to get omega-3s in your diet! :)

Good quality meat from grass fed animals is human, sustainable, responsible, and Very very healthy.
Meat has nutrients that we as humans need, we dont need to eat pounds and pounds of it. But eat animal products ( cheese, eggs, fish, etc) regulary and meat a few times a week.

Healthily prepared, lean meat is not high in cholesterol, does not contribute to diabetes in any shape or form (unless eating it in a wrong way made you obese) and I have not had a single disease from eating meat my entire life. Killing is natural and part of life. I wonder if your compassion extends to insects like cockroaches and mosquitoes.
easternslavic....actually look at the China study and you will see that many cultures live on no animal products or very little. It is so healthy compared to eating meat. I urge you to take a look. Take care.

Chinese consume more meat than USA. Any country does consume meat in one form or another. The china study has already been disproven by many credible sources. I suggest you look this up and stop living by an old outdated study.
The word "vegan" may only be a few hundred years old, but clearly the dietary choice isn't. The word was coined by Donald Watson. There are two types of vegans. A dietary vegan, and a lifestyle vegan. A lifestyle vegan is from the word Donald Watson coined, meaning you don't use animals for anything. A dietary vegan, like the tribe, means you just don't eat animal products. The word may be new, but the diet is not.
A secret the Himalayas hold by Murli Menon says 'We were headed to the villages of Dah and Beema (pronounced Beama) in Leh district and Garkun and Darchik in Kargil district, and the intention was to spend a week studying the secret lives of a tribe of pure Aryans.
There are about 1,000 descendants of the Aryan tribes and they live scattered around Gilgit, Hunza, Kargil and Leh. Being nature worshippers, they celebrate the Bononah (nature) festival and are strict vegans, which means they are not only strictly vegetarian but also don't consume milk or milk products
The few thousand Brok-pa Aryans have over 5,000 years lived in these hostile terrain at 15,000 ft altitude, subsisting on a vegan diet. Music and dance are a way of life for them. Both men and women wear colourful costume, decorating their hair with flowers, and are full of joi de vivre. They live in harmony with nature, and are cheerful and stress-free despite living in small rock shelters. They trek long distances.
The weather in September is pleasantly cold, though temperatures in January can plummet to -20 degrees Celsius. There are an unusually large number of Aryans above 70 years. Many are active even at 90.
Shame on Gore for not promoting vegetarianism. Especially in light of the U.N. report.
I think the real inconvenient truth is that gore is a meat junky and doesn't want to have to stop eating blood and decomposing corpses himself. He's not going to promote something he can't do himself. It's deplorable.
yeah its much better to eat fungus and exposed ovaries and things that grew in shit, mmmmm good, and decomposing? no noone should eat that, eat fresh healthy meat and be happy
Here again is another fine example of how THESTRANGERANGER, spends his life. Never a nice thing to say about anyone! All negative! It is a proven fact that people like this have a very dark secret that they will never let anyone know. By lashing out at other, this is a defense mechanism that tries to deflect the sadness and anger and hurt that this poor kid has had in his life. Please take a moment to pray for him.
Bosco if your gonna argue,...Argue don't spit insults. You sound like a frustrated 4th grader. But, i do agree with your point. Vegans don't badger people who eat meat. Educate, and let decisions be made. One thing i hate, The high and mighty Vegan that thinks they are so much better because of their dietary choice. Milk is not good for you. Milk is what it is BABY COW FOOD. Just because you've been told Milk does a body good ever since you were a wee child. DOES NOT MEAN ITS TRUE.

Actually milk is extremely unhealthy. That opinion is echoed by thousands of health care specialists. The milk industry will tell you it's the perfect food. That's simply not true. Milk makes ppl sick. That's the truth. It causes all kinds of intestinal reactions. It can carry viral infections. It's full of blood, chemicals, insecticides, drugs and pus. It causes allergies, infections, asthma, intestinal bleeding, heart disease, arthritis and possibly leukemia, lymphoma and cancer.

Fantastic! One of the 3% in this country who have researched and now know the truth. The animals YOU kill are killing all of us. Humans - the self-proclaimed most intelligent species on the planet...and the only one causing it's own and every living thing's ultimate destruction. Pretty brilliant!
boscogump, why are you answering a question with a question? How does being a hunter help you with intelligence? I can see how it could help things like tracking skills, hand-eye coordination and blood-lust... but how does it help intelligence?
You simple minded IDIOTS. I'm not saying eating meat magically makes you smarter. The way you get food, How does a wildebeest get its food? It looks down. Now how does a wild dog get its food? It has to work out an attack plan to kill the larger wildebeest. I really hope you understand.
No, you're not saying eating meat makes you smarter. You're saying hunting makes you more intelligent. Carnivorous animals follow their instincts. Instinct is not intelligence.
Your totally right wagg. Hunting doesn't make you smarter. Carnivorous animal follow instinct. Instinct is not intelligence. After all Buffalo are smarter than wolfs and dogs. Fish are smarter than Dolphins, and ofcourse cows are smarter than Humans. You idiot.
Yes that's because there is many more people who don't go to college, and those people don't really care about animal rights, but the people who do go to college(at least around where I live) are on an omnivore diet. Only a few are Vegetarians, and even fewer are vegans.
Boscogump; I'm not making fun of anything, I'm just stating facts. And judging by the bitchy tone you use I just assumed you were a woman. Sorry for the mistake, dude. You are obviously not very educated and are incapable of completing a sentence without some sort of grammatical error (ie: "you're" is the contraction of "you are" not "your" and you obviously don't know the difference).
Are you serious? Your the only one that sounds like a bitch hear. This isn't English class, git ofer urself. Yes I know how to use proper grammar, But who really cares, except a woman of course. Why do you keep on study my your's and you are's? Why are you getting off the subject.
So it's vegans who won't open their minds? Did you ever stop to think that most vegans make their choice on their own, and are not raised on it? So who do you think could be brainwashed, a vegan who came up to a conclusion that something he/she did was wrong, or someone who never questions what they do, and yet blindly defends these habits?
How do most vegans come to be? PETA, most deny it but its true. My friend is a vegan, and of course she tried to get me to join. Guess were she sent me? Peta, Guess were every Animal "lover" sends me? But now I ask her if she is a member of Peta, she says no. I know a lot of people that hate Peta now, even Vegans, but how did the the majority become vegans? PETA.
You have some misconceptions about veganism, even with those vegan friends you claim to have. I dont support PETA and never did. They have consistent fact pages on their site, but I dont like their advertising among other things. There are many other reliable sources out there about veganism, and I did my research before I made my choice. Life is about searching and learning. Being healthier than ever confirms I chose right. How did you make your choice? Did you ever consider alternatives?
My grand mother lived till 98. She ate meat. So do I. Trust me they aren't my best friends, but they are friends. The only "facts" PETA has is Animals are dieing.
and there are people who smoke and still live til' theyre 98. Then there are many others that are not so lucky. What is your point? Maybe you should read about the connection between enviromental damage and meat eating. I will be happy to send you some links, but I doubt you're interested in the truth?
You would be suprised what humans can eat. Fire changed our ability to deal with the bacteria. Rebut the message? I never said I have a problem with vegans, just the ones that criticize me.
That's the point. We need fire to be able to eat this stuff. No other animal does that. And still every doctor suggests to limit our consumption of meat. Again: No omnivore animal has to do that.
If you don't want to be criticized perhaps you shouldn't start posting here in the first place. Because people will set you straight.
Animals have salmonella found in them. Humans have cooking. Bacteria wasn't ever really a problem, hell even cow disease kills less people a year than lightning.
And there are many other sources then PETA. PETA is just the most dominant organisation in the american mainstream-media.
And you don't know me. So don't assume you know where I get my information from. If you are not able to do a civil discussion then maybe you shouldn't do any.
There was no mainstream vegans before PETA. It was more of a personal choice not to eat meat, not eating animal bi-products, well I dunno when that came about. But yes all your reasons for turning vegan, apart from feeling sorry for animals is a mainfestation of PETA.
So you don't know anything about the beginning of veganism? A few facts: PETA was founded in 1980, the British Vegan Society in 1944. That's a lot of time to spread informations. (And veganism is even older then that also it didn't have that name.)
So how do you know that every vegan comes from PETA? You repeated that claim over and over again but never provided any prove for it.
A little other fact: In 1981 an animal-rights-group was founded in germany when PETA was unknown there.

I know enough about veganism to dislike it. I really don't care when the fad started, looking forward to it ending tho. Well, I guess as long as psuedo-intellectual, depressed, animaniacs loving, ghost world loving teens walk the Earth you will always have a small following of idiots.
No..I implied that PETA started the whole vegan fad. Before PETA there were not scrawny redheads and glasses wearing black bowl-cut loving crowd followers around.
It's impossible to say anything about ethical veganism before 1944 since the name didn't exist.
You are repeating the same stuff over and over again. But you never mentioned one source to support your claim. I have sources to support my standpoints. Do you have any? Or are you talking pure bullshit?

fhump 2 years ago
Actually, both is the case.
boodleboy 2 years ago 3
a vegan values the life of a cow above all the choice meat and milk i can harvest from a cow by milking it and slaughtering it
whether its good for you or for the earth is worth considering, but mainly veganism is about valuing the lives of animals
which is distinct from the earth or the natural environment
if you do eat meat and consume animal products (i do) i invite you to be grateful to animals for their lives and to farmers for their work
dobtoronto 2 years ago
What difference does it make to the slaughtered animal if you're grateful for it's death or not?
boodleboy 2 years ago 20
Well said!
StopSpeciesism 2 years ago
@boodleboy It matters not to that animal, but to you and the animals still alive. If you are grateful for one animal kept in a factory so it can't move and injected with hormones and somehow still find that palatable, you are likely to continue being ignorant, which will cause more suffering and the decline of the environment and your health.

"So... Initially, vegan was supposed to be übergood for ya, but now the argument is "it`s good for the earth". "
Any argument is good one if it forwards their agenda...These Vegans are defective people who are suffering from eating disorders and social issues...Many groups of people go to great lengths to justify their lifestyles and make them seem normal, or acceptable...Mankind has never been strictly vegetarian it is not his nature...Thats why they look sickly and pale..
timetodepop 2 years ago
Sorry, but everytime when I read something like "...not his nature", "unnatural"... I have to laugh. Even if it's "unnatural", it wouldn't be a good reason not to do it, eh? Humankind isn't supposed to fly, to smoke, to move faster than 36 km/h... but we do it. Just think about how your life would be, without this many "unnatural" things :P
Namrys 2 years ago
"Humankind isn't supposed to fly, to smoke, to move faster than 36 km/h... but we do it. Just think about how your life would be, without this many "unnatural" things :P "
How would our lives be without doing unatural things?...Well...It would be as it was for 100,000 years wouldn't it?...in perfect balnce with nature...The unnatural things we do have caused many unattractive problems to surface in the last 200 years havent they?..Global pollution, and warming..Overpopulation, and famine.
timetodepop 2 years ago
You are quite right. Apparently we can't travel back in time (at the moment ^^), so we have to cope with the situation.
I think one good way to help this planet, is to become vegetarian/vegan!
Namrys 2 years ago
"I think one good way to help this planet, is to become vegetarian/vegan"
I think a slight population reduction would be better for the planet than any lifestyle changes...Lets cull the herd just a bit....say...oh...by 50% ..nothing radical. ..starting with the sickly and unproductives...vegans appear to excellent candidates for extermination...Pale, sickly creatures with little or no muscle tone and political agendas..Thats where nature would start its selective process...maybe we should too
timetodepop 2 years ago
To reduce the population by half would be pointless, probably in 50 years population would be the same, and we will have the problem all over again. :P
Oh, while we're at stereotype blabla, your destructive way of thinking seems to be rooted in a bad childhood or dissatisfaction about your life or whatever... be careful, not that you get suicidal thoughts. Get help before it's too late ^^
Namrys 2 years ago
"To reduce the population by half would be pointless, probably in 50 years population would be the same, and we will have the problem all over again"
Not neccesarily....The current eugenics programs of CODEX will keep the population in a state of stagnation for many generations...That and eliminating the childish belief in God and organized Religion will insure the healthy survival of our species for eternity, barring any extinction events....
timetodepop 2 years ago
"eugenics programs of CODEX" ? ...ehm... sure...

Is that why Vegans look so frail and sickly?....Is that why so many professional athletes are living the Vegan lifestyle ? (sarcasm) Pale complection must be a symptom of physical fitness...I would rather continue to be unhealthy if that is the case...
timetodepop 2 years ago
Please educate yourself, I know a lot of vegans and most look very healthy, it is obvious that some may not be following the right nutrition and therfore may look "frail". I also know meat eaters and some also look very unhealthy because they are not eating right. it has all to do with eating the right nutrients. it has been more than proven that a vegetarian diet is better for humans than one that contains meat, unfortunately it has been embedded in human minds that "We must eat meat"!

timetodepop 2 years ago 2
Who are you to say who is selfish or worthless when everyone's morals are subjective?
doitinasubmarine 2 years ago 2
@timetodepop If I were to say to you, look at how fat meat-eaters are, you would rightly point out that if people eat meat (and other foods) in moderation they will not look like that. Similarly, people who eat healthy vegan diets look and feel fantastic; don't point to someone who does it wrong and say the rest of us are like this as well. Going vegan was the best thing I ever did for my health; I look and feel better than ever.
Also, many athletes DO go vegan for enhanced performance, etc.

I Thank You for your input. :)
timetodepop 1 year ago
@timetodepop Well, you're doing a lot better than most people then! Good for you... You say you have no political motives, so I take it that means you're not moved by compassion for the animals, so I guess telling you the fish you eat suffer wouldn't mean anything to you. However, since you are motivated by health reasons, have you considered plant sources of omega-3s, as opposed to fish? Fish contains mercury, PCBs, etc. I get my omega-3s from flax, hemp nut, walnuts, etc. :)
kimberlily1983 1 year ago
@kimberlily1983
Well....I must say that I am somewhat ignorant to plant forms of omega 3, 6 or 9...I would explore the benefits of such things due to the potential of high toxicity contained in most fish oils..I speak of PCBs of course...Mercury is also a hazard a destroyer of mental capacity.
timetodepop 1 year ago
@timetodepop Well, the sources I mentioned are good, and I thought I'd mention that last time my partner and I were doing groceries, we noticed that there's a Silk soy milk out now that comes with DHA (one of the omega 3s), from microalgae. So there's one more easy way to get omega-3s in your diet! :)

TangerineTangerine 4 years ago
How do most vegans come to be? PETA, most deny it but its true. My friend is a vegan, and of course she tried to get me to join. Guess were she sent me? Peta, Guess were every Animal "lover" sends me? But now I ask her if she is a member of Peta, she says no. I know a lot of people that hate Peta now, even Vegans, but how did the the majority become vegans? PETA.
boscogump 4 years ago
You have some misconceptions about veganism, even with those vegan friends you claim to have. I dont support PETA and never did. They have consistent fact pages on their site, but I dont like their advertising among other things. There are many other reliable sources out there about veganism, and I did my research before I made my choice. Life is about searching and learning. Being healthier than ever confirms I chose right. How did you make your choice? Did you ever consider alternatives?

You would be suprised what humans can eat. Fire changed our ability to deal with the bacteria. Rebut the message? I never said I have a problem with vegans, just the ones that criticize me.
boscogump 4 years ago
That's the point. We need fire to be able to eat this stuff. No other animal does that. And still every doctor suggests to limit our consumption of meat. Again: No omnivore animal has to do that.
If you don't want to be criticized perhaps you shouldn't start posting here in the first place. Because people will set you straight.

wittyvegan 3 years ago
Animals have salmonella found in them. Humans have cooking. Bacteria wasn't ever really a problem, hell even cow disease kills less people a year than lightning.
easternslavic 3 years ago
I didn't. I became vegan because I read how bad meat and milk is for you and how bad the animals are treated. I didn't need PETA for that.
If you can't rebut the message it is easer to kill the messenger.
wittyvegan 4 years ago
You read it from PETA you fucking idiot.
easternslavic 3 years ago
And there are many other sources then PETA. PETA is just the most dominant organisation in the american mainstream-media.
And you don't know me. So don't assume you know where I get my information from. If you are not able to do a civil discussion then maybe you shouldn't do any.
wittyvegan 3 years ago
ALL vegan sources start from either greenpeace of PETA. Since it's not copyrighter "information" people just paste it everywhere.
easternslavic 3 years ago
Yeah right. There weren't any vegans before PETA and there weren't any environmentalists before Greenpeace.
PLEASE make some sense! (Or at least name some sources for your absurd claims.)
wittyvegan 3 years ago
There was no mainstream vegans before PETA. It was more of a personal choice not to eat meat, not eating animal bi-products, well I dunno when that came about. But yes all your reasons for turning vegan, apart from feeling sorry for animals is a mainfestation of PETA.
easternslavic 3 years ago
So you don't know anything about the beginning of veganism? A few facts: PETA was founded in 1980, the British Vegan Society in 1944. That's a lot of time to spread informations. (And veganism is even older then that also it didn't have that name.)
So how do you know that every vegan comes from PETA? You repeated that claim over and over again but never provided any prove for it.
A little other fact: In 1981 an animal-rights-group was founded in germany when PETA was unknown there.
