The Boston accent is more similar to a British English accent than anything else, the hard A, the dropping R's on some words and adding R sounds to the end of some words are all features of many British English accents.

There is almost no similarity to Irish accents as Irish accents are rhotic (they always pronounce the R) and never end words with an R sound, the one feature they both share is the hard A sound, but many countries have this feature like England, Australia etc
