im not fluent in mandarine but when i hear some korean words they are quite similar to the mandarine word, therefore thats why his mandarine is better than his cantonese.

Nah, I disagree. Se7en is WAAAAAYYYY better than Rain. This is one of Se7en's OLD performances. He's way better now. He's actually gotten more fans than Rain in the past year. Most people like rain because of his body. He can't sing at all. Se7en can both sing and Dance and he's Hot. That's 3 total packages. And I saw Se7en live in concert in Hollywood, so I have experience. Sarang hae yo Se7en!!
Nextly, I would like to comment the video. I am happy that not only can Se7en speak his native language(Korean) and Japanese, but he's also speaking mandarin? That's awesome. His Chinese is about as impressive as his Japanese. I like it. Go SE7EN!! I love this guy I saw him in person at a concert in LA. It was great. I love this guy. He's really cool.
And although japanese uses a lot of chinese characters, they also have their own 2 writing styles, katakana, and hiragana. They use the chinese characters to shorten the sentences and save more space. But the pronunciation is not the same for the characters as in Chinese. Korean keeps a lot of the pronunciations the same, minus the tones. I personally study Korean. i am almost fluent, so I learned alot of stuff while studying the language. Hope this was helpful.
For one thing, Korean has developed their own writing style called Hangeul and Chinese characters are rarely used now. Their language is different from Chinese because they don't use tones like chinese and Japanese is a completely different ball game. There are words that were borrowed by both the Japanese and Korean, Korean borrowing the most words. Japanese borrowed alot of the CHARACTERS. Korean rarely uses Chinese Characters any more.
Um se7en is Korean. He was born there, raised there and all. And I DO agree that the languages all used the same writing style at some point, but that has changed over the years. There is a GREAT DIFFERENCE in the languages when SPEAKING THEM, however.
i'm not exactly sure but i do know that ancient koreans used chinese words as well and jap still uses some chinese symbols but they are pronounced differently. ^____^ but not the least the cultures are pretty differnent. =D
mmm there are history books about this....all asians used to be in China....then they spread out because they didn't like the way the king was ruling (kinda like how pilgrims did in America) and then they settled into what is now japan, korea, taiwan, singapore, etcetc....
yes true if you watch history korean dramas such as Dae Jang Geum (the jewel in the palace) uses chinese when they are writing also look at how japanese is written out some of the words are really similar to chinese if not the same

Sounds kindah korean-ish to me) then he says he's se7en and then he says something in mandarin and then the guy asks him a question and then se7en answers in korean and the guy says wow.. at least he understands what I said in chinese. =) se7en looks so cute here. I love the beginning and how it's shot at an angle and you can see his hair all bunched up in the back.

They use the chinese characters to shorten the sentences and save more space. But the pronunciation is not the same for the characters as in Chinese. Korean keeps a lot of the pronunciations the same, minus the tones. I personally study Korean. i am almost fluent, so I learned alot of stuff while studying the language. Hope this was helpful.

For one thing, Korean has developed their own writing style called Hangeul and Chinese characters are rarely used now. Their language is different from Chinese because they don't use tones like chinese and Japanese is a completely different ball game. There are words that were borrowed by both the Japanese and Korean, Korean borrowing the most words. Japanese borrowed alot of the CHARACTERS. Korean rarely uses Chinese Characters any more.

Um se7en is Korean. He was born there, raised there and all. And I DO agree that the languages all used the same writing style at some point, but that has changed over the years. There is a GREAT DIFFERENCE in the languages when SPEAKING THEM, however.

i'm not exactly sure but i do know that ancient koreans used chinese words as well and jap still uses some chinese symbols but they are pronounced differently. ^____^ but not the least the cultures are pretty differnent. =D

mmm there are history books about this....all asians used to be in China....then they spread out because they didn't like the way the king was ruling (kinda like how pilgrims did in America) and then they settled into what is now japan, korea, taiwan, singapore, etcetc....

yes true if you watch history korean dramas such as Dae Jang Geum (the jewel in the palace) uses chinese when they are writing also look at how japanese is written out some of the words are really similar to chinese if not the same

Se7en' so cool cause he speakes like 5 languages(Japanese, English, Mandarin, Cantonese and of course Korean), that I know off. Not to mention that fact that he's DARN HOT! A great dancer and Excellent singer! Of course, I am SE7EN crazy and proud of it. ;D So I just can't believe most of the people on this show were so calm and quite. I think even Japanese fans would have been louder than that. :p

He says something in canto in the beginning something about friends (what does he say before the friends part. Sounds kindah korean-ish to me) then he says he's se7en and then he says something in mandarin and then the guy asks him a question and then se7en answers in korean and the guy says wow.. at least he understands what I said in chinese. =) se7en looks so cute here. I love the beginning and how it's shot at an angle and you can see his hair all bunched up in the back.
