Legends of Zelda is the first inductee to the Video Game Hall of Fame, understandable. Metal Gear Solid should be next. No other video game franchise is more deserving to go before MGS, and even Zelda could have gone 2nd after MGS. Its the best Video Game franchise ever. The atmosphere, the memories, the story, characters, villains. Its beyond being a Video Game. If there was ever the perfect showing as to why Video Games are Art...this would be it. Hideo Kojima is a god among men.

I'm not sure if there's any official connection to MGS, but you could easily make the distinction that they are in the same universe, just a totally different time scale. @jesusmurderer01 the game allowed you to play how you like. i played through it without getting seen once, without firing a bullet once. and completed it with a gametime of 17 hours and a playthrough of 6 hours. it just allows so much. octocamo is new, the controlls are better, animations are better, mrk2&3, playable cutscenes, better cqc. there is just so much. mgs3 did have the best focussed plot part though

@DeepThroat112 I think those haters are Splinter Cell fans. That game has no soul, no sauce, no nothing. That game is dry, it has no story, that game doesn't have the spirit that contains in Metal Gear Series. That's why I love MGS. they release 9 versions of Splinter Cell and it passes unnoticed, but they release one version of MGS, and people makes a line at 2 AM in japan before the stores opens, just to be the first ones to buy it. And as I write this I'm already at 4:18. I'm damn inspired.

And this is why I will always prefer games like MGS, Final Fantasy or else instead of CoD or Battlefield...Because these games are able to play with our emotions and are able to make us cry...

@DeepThroat112 I've played splinter cell, it's not a bad game (Not in terms of graphics, action, bla bla bla), even though I don't get involved with the story, I don't feel the game telling me "Go ahead, dont give up, fight for what you love.". If a few ppl loves Splinter Cell and hates Metal Gear, it only gotta be because one thing: MGS looks more to a fiction than SC. Who cares? Even SC is a fiction, it just doesn't have giant robots and people with supernatural powers. MGS is MGS.

@matheussousuke Splinter Cell Conviction was fantastic, and the other games are fine too. Every Metal Gear game has been re-released 2 or more times, so that doesn't really help your defense. Don't get me wrong. I love MGS, it's one of my favorite game series of all time, but your logic behind SC bashing is irrational. (There are 5 "Main series" SC games and 7 "Main series" MG games.) But enough of this chatter, back to MGS:HD for me!
