In the 80's The Go-Go's were the last word in "babedom". As a young teenager I had HUGE HUGE crush on Belinda Carlisle, as did half of America for that matter. Jane Wyman is absolutely adorable in this video! I almost forgot how hot she was, but then again they were/are all super hotties. That's why they're The Go-Go's!

I liked Gina Schock the drummer and the blonde guitarist (good power chords). Gina is damn good drummer too. She chewed gum while she pounded the drums. Most girl drummers are not that great.

I think all the early Carpenters stuff employed studio musicians. I know Karen was a drummer to start. Lots is LA groups used studio hands. I think the Carpenters were a Don Kirshner creation like the Monkees. The Carpenters, Beach Boys, Byrds and Monkees used studio musicians at first. McGuinn did play for the Byrds. Karen was an okay drummer but Gina is outstanding. Glen Campbell was a big studio player in LA on Beach Boy tunes.
