this song is also on the blue for you cd, you can download the whole cd or just this track on amazon...dusty could have sung the phone book...heaven...x
The Dusty Springfield version is included on an album called Complete A & B Sides 1963-1970. You can hear it on Spotify along with another version by Ken Dodd!
One of my favorite songs by this great entertainer. Sara Brightman and Roger Whitaker will be at the gates of heaven singing when we all meet our maker. What a great way to enter eternity.
Thanks for sharing this. Even though it's just mono it sounds so much better than the ancient record player with the even older record that's playing right next to me...
Just as I checked today's morning, it's bad song to set as alarm signal

Close the UN down and let them form a band and orchestra and play evergreens like this one, they will transform the world better.

Great song, beautiful words. Haven't heard this for years. Remember the version a duet by Dusty Springfield and Tom Springfield. in 1970.

Off to Athenry,me back to reality of a double life.
There at Holyhead we had to part and home on the train, the letter from you read with leaden eyes.
Morning did come and sadness to.
