Ive been talking about this cartoon to my friends for about 2 years, no one knew what i was on about, all i could remember was some bird thing oscellating up and down and multiplying in number, people looked at me like i was a freak, and i have even doubted what i was saying, i never thought of looking on here. Quality. Brings back some very early memories.

Thanks for posting! This cartoon was so vague in my memory and no one else seemed to know what i was talking about when i tried to describe it. I remember the ducks and wattoo and that it was translated but had forgotten everything else. Brings back feelings and memories of my childhood. Thanks!

Strange. I was only five when this had been broadcast in Israel. I totally forgot about the ducks... All I could remember was the whistle, which done by something that looks like a bottle with arms and tail, and that I had always waiting and expecting the next episode, lol

This certainly brings back memories from my childhood. They showed Wattoo also on Finnish television circa '79-81. The whistle and the sad & beautiful closing theme definately sound familiar. *a shiver and a sigh*
