Tuttle is a masterful artist. It's fascinating what he says about the real looking like an illusion... this is basically the opposite and equal of representation, where the illusion is made to look real.
that thin line is what is keeping him from being shackled to a bed in a nut house and yet he tosses it around so delicately as though it were his own sperm.
What a F. I respect artists and I know they are genious but somehow they can get so deep into their art that its hard for a real person to grasp what the F is going on.
and why is this a problem? sometimes its a lot harder to create work that educes questions as opposed to work that gives you answers. why must art be about answers? picasso once said "Computers are useless. They can only give you answers".
I respect your comment, but if you read my comment again you can see that Im not saying any of that you are accusing me off. I didnt say it was a problem nor art always have to give you an answer. Good questions anyways. Most art has a connection that connects it with humans and life. Thats why people can relate to art, now if you go very very deep, either you loosing the connection or the most deepest peopel can see the genious in it.
understood. i thought you might be considering this as a problem. in any event i replied to your comment b/c i thought it was a good one. didnt mean to sound argumentative. thnx

"A lot of my work is about not doing something well". Well that he is good at. I need drugs to find it remotely interesting.

If you're strange enough, long enough, eventually you'll be labeled as an artist.
