Isn't it the lack of progesterone and oestrogen that cause it to shed, rather than "progesterone causes it to shed". Progesterone prepares the uterus for implantation, hence the name progesterone.
@harley139able It could be due to stress, even positive stress. I wouldn't worry too much unless it becomes more common. I've had a couple of those twice-a-month periods. No big deal, as they went away.
I think you are a little off here. a menstrual cycle is average of 28 days, not a period. Also, you seem to have your hormones mixed up. Progesterone means pro gestation and is responsible for the build up of the uterine lining for implantation. yikes. please remove your misinformation whom ever ;posted this.
@lalagirl211 in my experience, most females have fairly regular periods, but there are still many who don't. it's usually not a big deal but should be discussed with a doctor. the doctor can evaluate if it's a prob or not and can usually make recommendations for making the period occur more regularly.
@lalagirl211 good. often it's not a prob when it's irregular & it gets on course itself. & ur right, doctors may recommend drugs but you dont have to take that advice & it's so great that you knw that medicne isnt always the way to go, but also sometimes they may jus recommend you write down/monitor cycle, reduce your stress, & monitor your level of excercise and what you eat. a lot of diff things. what's going on is diff for everyone. sounds like you've got it covered though. :)
So Period means 5 to 7 days mensus 23 to 21 days no period. So , when does ovulation start....10 days before the mestruation???

Bleeding for 28 days isn't normal. Maybe she meant ovulating.

I wish you could talk about feminine hygine product alternatives such as menstrual cups on your show. They are much healthier than pads or tampons.
