UK political process is not the same as the US. You don't vote for a person, as you do in USA, you vote for a party. There are people of African and Asian decent in these parties. So, to answer your question, when there is a black man capable enough to lead a party that gets voted in, that's when it will happen. It is unlikely that the colour of the party leader will swing many votes. Britain is historically more sexist than racist and we voted in a female PM for 3 terms in the 80's! (Thatcher)

Moreover, there was no way for Africans slavers to see the brevity of destruction that their trade inflicted on the continent, yet Europeans could. Yes both Africans and Europeans are to blame, but if anyone is to blame more it is Europeans. And Africans were the only victims, not Europeans. He was in London recently and was at corks wine bar doing a show with Kojo (its on Youtube) cant wait for Dave to come back he the best by far, Chris Rock is just here for the money. 10 shows, 3 thousand people per show, £44 each. nuff said

sylviasosweet - we can tell you don't listen to comedians that often. Chris Rock comes from a long lineage of great comedians. He pushes the boundaries by exposing the truth about many issues that we dare not mention ourselves. If the screaming and cursing is all you can hear then I am truely sorry you have missed the point because he has gone down as one of the greats...a living legend, no question.

Ok. Chris Rock has some genuinely funny material, offensive though it may be. But here's my question; WHY does he always SCREAM his jokes out???? When he talks, he is barely moving his mouth, like his jaws are partially wired shut, or like an annoying ventriloquist.

It's just the way he brings his comedy to the people. Other people make faces (Jim Carrey), and Chris Rock screams. It annoyed me too in the beginning, but the more I started watching him, the less I pay attention to him screaming. It's what makes Chris Rock Chris Rock.

Sandzak: I can't stand filthy Stand-Up Comics; I'm not a prude, I just don't think it's necessary. Screaming and cursing can both be extremely irritating. I don't really listen to comedians that often.

You said that blacks were slaves, but you failed to mention that blacks captured, processed, and profitted from the slaves. It was their #1 export. Lets start telling the whole truth about slavery so that everyone can share the blame. Everyone is to blame. But today, Africa continues to practice slavery, so they are mostly to blame.

I suppose it was Africans too that subjected the slaves to the brutal and inhumane treatment they received in the Americas? No? You're right that SOME Africans do share the blame with Europeans but only in some aspects. The actual 'trade' of slaves was only the beginning of their suffering, and that's where African involvement began and ended.

Furthermore slavery has been around since antiquity and it is still around today, in ALL parts of the world, not just Africa. But if you decide to read into the transatlantic slave trade you'll see that the African notion of slavery, is different to the notion Europeans had in that African slaves began as POWs without rights working for their captors. They were still human, and were still treated as such, unlike in the Americas.

Yes both Africans and Europeans are to blame, but if anyone is to blame more it is Europeans. And Africans were the only victims, not Europeans. No, the African involvement has NOT ended. There are still parts of Africa that practice slavery, and no one is complaining about it. Lets also remember that America only accepted about 4 percent of the slaves while Argentina took about 75 percent. That doesn't make it right, but we should still live in the present, and stop Africans from practicing slavery.
