@ratedfx You get GIMP completely free, photoshop costs money...lots of money. And You can do just as much with a free program as you can with one that costs over 100 dollars. The reasons for using GIMP are very simple it's not rocket science

If they make a free and perfectly efficient program that is comparable to photoshop, I didn't say it was perfect but comparable non the less, then I would rather use that. Plus I don't have a reason to use a photoshop I'm just doing simple shit like this vid, I'm not doing anything on a professional level.Photoshop is too extensive for my needs so therefore I don't use it, although I do have it legally.(came w/my comp)

@ratedfx no i have the entire suite. but I don't use it LOL. I honestly just use gimp, I only use it for casual things like forum signatures. This method kinda had some necessary steps i think because I made one in like 2 mins. without followign this vid, I just kinda used it as a reference.

Alright, I'm confused. I'm watching the vid and you say to use the green "down" button to move the text layer under the background but...you actually used the "up" arrow in the vid, so, which is it? Up or Down?

@RodneyisGodney What I said in the video is to move the TEXT layer under the background layer. So whether that's moving it up or down is whatever layer you're working on. Make sure the Text layer is under the background layer okay. Understand what I mean now? In other words move the background layer up. =D
