  • their potting ability is great but they don't know pool at all

  • If anyone knows where to get full matches from this tournament, please message me! It will be worth your while!

  • Ya'll should see the pocket size vs ball in Russian billiards.

  • this must be a joke for them

  • all this talk that pool players can't compete in snooker is utter crap! think; Neil Robertson, Mark Selby (to name but a few) are pool players at heart and are working their way up snooker rankings. also try watching some 3 cushion billiards (Mike Massey and Eric Yow) (both pool players btw) you never see people who only play snooker compete with those guys. My opinion is you need to play all billiard carom games to get REALLY good. Just likeSteve Davis did.

  • Good grief. Watching these two play pool was nearly as painful as watching Jeremy Jones play snooker.

  • who the fuck uses a rest on a pool table?! Jimmys gut is just too big here to stretch over the table.

  • i love how at the 6 min mark they don't let us watch jimmy take the shot on the 1, but just show us a replay of the break. wtf?!

  • players both look young , why do all commenters talk about snooker?

  • 9 ball is a joke to these guys and they probably only devote about 2% of their time to learning the game. Making a 147 in snooker, which is something both these guys have done many times is equal to about 10 break and runs in a row in 9-ball. 9-ball at top level is all about the break and being lucky enough to land on the lowest ball ,because all the top players are capable of running out. That means its mainly a game of luck which is why there is a different world champ almost every year. LUCK!

  • o'sullivan even says it's a different game than snooker, and he's been playing in the mosconi cup for years now and doesn't have many big wins to talk about. if it was so easy for snoooker players to play 9-ball why haven't we seen a mad dash for the american 9-ball cash? use a little intelligance b-4 u make comments

  • What I'm saying is 9-ball is too easy for BOTH top snooker and pool players because it is a game of luck. Making a ball on the break and landing on the lowest ball depends on LUCK, (unless you can use the soft break and control it). Once a pro does that, the majority of racks are easily run out. I've had many run outs at 9-ball and I bet u have too. Top snooker players can compete with the top ten 9-ball players you've seen them do it and often win. Pool players can't even make snookers top 100.

  • @kevinleverne pool players can't even compete a 10 year old boy at snooker who has 6 months of practise. they would lose 3-0 and beacuse of anger they will throw the cue violently on the table

  • That's not a serious game for those two guys.

  • OMg this was sooo poor

  • Hendry just doesn't age, this could have been yesterday! What's wrong with this guy?!

  • he's a god. not human. simple as that :D

  • Is Hendry playing with snooker cue????

  • if this is them struggling (notice the double g) then i would love to see them when they are playing well

  • You obviously don't play pool or snooker often. This is a poor performance by any standards.

  • 2:06 - unreal! great shot from stephen!

  • He wasn't trying to do that. He was just trying to hit the orange. Probably trying to leave the white at that end of the table, and get the orange at this end of it.

  • anyways, it looked good!

  • hi mr uploader is there any more such tournaments in recent years?

  • Not any more as I know...What a pity...

  • Potting is definitely easier in pool than in snooker. many a time you will get a pot on a pool table which would be impossible to get on a snooker table.

Overall , pool is more forgiving & technically less demanding than snooker. No wonder its more popular game to pick up. Nothing beats the satisfaction of potting a ball or stringing a break & pool offers better chances of doing it.

Personally, I still prefer playing snooker & facing the technical & precision demands. More challenging.

  • @jbdoggy technically less demanding ?!?! uau...Pocket billiards is faster , yes , but that's about it. SOOKER PLAYERS ARE POTTING MACHINES. If you know anything about pool you'll notice the position play and strategy in this video are crap.

  • Comment removed

  • @alexacru watch ronnie o sullivan, watch his errrr, what do you called that, ahhaa, "position play"

  • @popthatbeep what about ronnie...he plays pool the same as these guys here. I would recommend u hear what ronnie or davis (he commentated many great matches) have to say about this discipline.

  • @alexacru i mean in snooker, not in pool, watch his position play

  • @alexacru yes and they're also positional "machines". and no the positional play in this video isnt crap, and why dont you go and watch how well they play positional in snooker

  • @jbdoggy That's the way I see it too, i used to play 5 pins, which is a more difficult game to start and to get some satisfaction as you say, and that's because is not very popular too... All billiards are great anyway...

  • they,re seats don,t look very comfortable.lollllll:-)

  • Both great players, in my opinion Jimmy White won way fewer titles than he deserved. Still it's nice to see these two titans of snooker playing pool. You kinda get the impression that it's too easy for them.

  • What was the foul?

  • he accidently hit the ball with the cue before he shot the 9.

  • White didn't care about that win. He knew Hendry would've made the 9 easily.

  • Compare this kind of amazing sportsmanship to the 'cry-baby' Stickland. Makes you feel proud of these guys!

At this level, it doesn't really matter who wins or loses. It's all about the GAME and these guys are unsurpassed.

  • Awesome!!

  • lmao that last shot, just goes to show that being a sporting player pays off.

  • Brillant!!

Well played deendyaly for adding this 2 the site!!

    BRILLANT!
