That stand alone is what I'm getting the TV for. Its awsome, looks sexy and stylish and few other friends have the same unit. very unique and make the whole tv look amazing.

I agree with indydaisy1 about the claw stand... Samsung make beautiful looking plasmas (this 2012 line looks like the most beautiful yet), but they undermine all that with the worse stands ever designed. For those of us who do not want to wall mount, we're stuck with this atrocious monstrosity of a stand.

Otherwise, Samsung make very good performing plasmas. Hopefully build quality won't be an issue like it was in 2011 (unfortunately).

I love samsung tv's but i fng hate the star stand, it's wobbly as hell on my 50inch 3d plasma, they need to take a leaf out of Panasonics vierra range solid stands.
