I was a teenager then didn't pay too much attention. though I don't think it was the government itself that went against the press, but if it was i would of been against it. Just cause a conservatives or a liberal did it does not make it right.
The one case i do remember was someone one msnbc? that got fired for saying something that wasn't true at all about Bush. He was fired by the station itself.

Obama isn't printing THAT much money. If you're referring to post WWI Germany, then you shouldn't be worried. They printed an obscene amount of money compared to Obama. Also, you can't go off of they're economic failures because the Treaty of Versailles was not going to let them flourish economically, no matter what they did.

THEY VOTED FOR IT AFTER HAVING BEEN GIVEN FORGED INTELLIGENCE BRIEFINGS. Nobody ever absolved the Democrats, they voted for the war to be sure... but they did so with faulty intelligence. And Bush was going to send troops in with or without a Congressional agreement. He would have done it as a police action, and thereby forced Congress' hand three months down the line when his executive decision ran out of its prescribed timetable.

they all got the same misinformation brian. and the war was not unconstitutional, it was completely legally legitimized - but that doesn't make it any less of a sham or a disgrace.
And, not to blame Bush again or anything, our efforts in Afghanistan have been horrendously under-staffed for roughly 7 years. We directed our attention to a trumped up war in Iraq and left our Afghan troops in the cold. Obama is making up for that lethargy
