@deadman6504 What John was complaining about was that Whit Bazemore and his crew chief Lee Beard waiting too long to start up and do their burnout after John's burnout causing John to heat up the engine/clutch while waiting for Bazemore. Their reason was that John did long burnouts but in recent years he has shorten them up. I dont think it was a one time thing and that Whit did it several times to John & Tony. Whit had a tendancy to piss people off when he was racing

Some teams chose to do long burnouts, others shorter ones. WIth a fuel engine if there is a difference between the teams burnout plans there is generally an agreement to stagger the fire-up of the two cars to avoid one overheating. This doesn't appear to have happened on this occasion with both teams starting at the same time, leaving JF sitting on the start line overheating waiting for the other car. JF seems to be claiming that LB should know their teams procedure for burnouts
