I could just trust you, and remember to go up a minor 3rd on the dominant 7 chords, so say I come across a Bb7, i can transpose what you say and play Db minor pent. I just didn't quite catch how to come to that conclusion ;)
Sounds great. When u say you reduce to minor, what i had in mind is that say for the D7, you would play the relative minor key to D major ? such as B minor? what you played sounded radical, but how did u 'reduce' to F minor when you were over the V chord? Im instantly confused because D7 has D F# A C, and Fm pent has F Ab Bb C Eb... how does an F, or an Ab fit while F# or A are being comped in the rhythm?
How do I get that jazzy tone? I love it.
What effects? Settings? Etc.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

@JonathanReichert I think F minor creates altered sounds over D7, b9, #9, b5, #5 and dom 7nth =), Bminor would sound more "in"
