@thedigitalmonkey So I suppose that you would feel Audre the Giant had an unfair advantage in life because of his size and that it was a genetic defect? The issue here isn't that he found a way to overcome his disability and then focused on training to achieve his goal... The issue is that you dislike that anyone who isn't perfect is better than you. You can argue with me about it, but you will be in a one sided argument because I have wasted enough time on your sad self.
great advert....tho i find it hard to believe that powerade played any part in this mans success.lol so no coca cola company, you are not oscars eal advantage.
Allowing this man to start in "normal" competition is unacceptable. His legs don't get tired because of their length. Yes, he's showing that "impossible is nothing", he's grt but allowing him to run with "normal" people will bring sport to a Race between people and androids. I'm highly confident that he wouldn't run as fast as he do with prothesis, with normal human legs -everybody who run will confirm it.
At some time, RSA produce a strange sportsmen.I mean Semanya Carter and Oscar Pistorius
@TheDigtalmonkey thats a bullshit comment. And what do you mean normal? he is normal, just because he has 2 limbs less doesn make him abnormal. And yes his legs are shorter, so its an advantage in the fact there is less muscle to deliver oxygen to, but you also have to look a the disadvantage, he has no gastrocnemius muscle, therefore less power coming from his legs.
@dkr56 I've written it in a previous comment, so read it till you understand. And I'm not going to waste my time to explain it to such an idiot as you, coz you know nothing about biomechanics.
@TheDigtalmonkey i think that i know substantially more than you when biomechanics, sport and exercise is involved. Prehaps you could copy and paste this magical comment that is going to make me realise how he has a significant advantage...
how do you know he is at an advantage, IAAF couldnt prove it, so if you could, im 100% sure he would already be banned

i hate how gatorade made an ad to say it was all them -.-
n8iveidiot13 3 years ago
they are pointing out that his prosthetics aren't an unfair advantage.
hmicha11 2 years ago 3
ya but at the end they say "oscar's real advantage"
they taking all the credit for all HIS hardwork and calling it their own is what I was trying to point out
n8iveidiot13 2 years ago
No hmicha11 is right.
They weren't trying to take credit, they were saying that he doesn't have any other unfair advantages other than the Powerade.
It's a commercial advertising a product though, so they were smart by making it have a double meaning.
The first one I already said and the second advertising how good the product is.
Obviously they can't take credit...
